So I got the Doner bike completely taken apart. I’m really happy with the bones of this bike. A lot of the bike seemed like It never had a wrench on it. A good solid bike to start with. A lot of the parts that I don’t need will be for sale.

I’m trying to hand make a chain tensor to match the one that was on Steve’s bike.. it is still a work in progress.

I do have most of the parts already gathered up and purchased for this build. Even the Mugen engine kit. Pipe airbox and silencer.

Well here I go again just finished a 1979 Mugen air cooled 125 build. I am jumping right into this build. It’s going to be a 1977 air cooled 125 Mugen. It will be an exact replica of the bike that Cliff White built for Steve Wise to race the 125 nationals.

Good eyes! The Hellfire is 3D printed and is 2/3rd scale, it was my retirement gift. The 30mm rounds are inert for testing the ammo handling system.

My 1972 Bultaco 125 Pursang in May of 1974 at Sunnyvale PAL. It was hopelessly obsolete by now due to the Elsinore. Things happened fast from 1972 to 1974: Pursang (okay on flat tracks), TM125, Elsinore, YZ Monoshock.

“Why do people hate the double boxes so much?” — Weege on the latest Fly Racing Racer X Review Show. AKA: Why do fans get so irritated by the PIP/split-screen segments? Because the problem isn’t necessarily showing two battles at once, it’s the absurdly inefficient way the screen is formatted to do so. As shown in the screenshot below, each viewable race feed occupies roughly 21.3% of the entire screen, with both race feeds combining for only 42.7% of the screen being utilized. So that leaves 57.3% of the screen being used for the sidebar, labels, borders, sponsor space and...

They didn't grade or plow the track after the last races, just threw grass seed on it and let it grow in over the braking bumps and ruts. That was how motocross was meant to be raced

This narrative is way, way overplayed. There's just less margin for error and greater consequences when you're pushing that hard as opposed to nursing a six second lead.

100% agree. Suspension kicking back looked really bad, especially as it usually looks so good. So easy to couch-surf and criticise from an outside perspective; much harder from inside the race.

Hot take but I don’t think the pressure got to him today. I think his suspension settings were off second moto and he G’d out at the top of the hill, it rebounded hard and he swapped over the hill and down it
