They got a point! These riders are performing at a very high level, and they are human too. They hurt sometimes and other times they are on their A game, riders and announcers alike.
Be generous to them and respect their hard work and skills; they are among the best athletes in the world.

Did they give any examples? People disagree on here all the time, so clearly some know what they're talking about about.
Does RC even know what he's talking about about half the time? Blown shocks and freeze-no-wait-harrison. Inside outside bike leaned over too far, afraid to call out Jordon Smith (and/or the ama) for putting other riders at risk rentering impaired
RC’s biggest pet peeve is people thinking they know what he his thinking. Ironic considering his job and how he goes about it.
Villa Scroto??
I think it’s odd that the 2 that hardly said a word when they raced. Now want to do all the talking. And think it’s unusual that they think if you were not a top 5 -10 guy . A part of the elitist your all the same key board warrior. I look at them as regular people. That got an opportunity that others didn’t.

When did RC and RV race?
I don't think people need to know how to run a TV broadcast to know when it sucks. I can't fly a helicopter but when I see one stuck in a tree I know the pilot fucked up.
That said, it must be tough to have to read the bullshit on Vital and other social media as part of your job. I can scroll by stupid comments but I think I would lose my mind if I had to read Instagram comments and forum posts everyday.
Having said THAT, I'm pretty good at what I do as a professional, so when i hear a non-expert talking shit about my field I can't even begin to take them seriously. It's like hearing a child complain about your favourite movie being boring. Why would you even get angry at them? Their opinion is so far off having any meaning that it sems silly to be affected by it.
Calling out the keyboard warriors … ya that oughta shut em up … 🤣🤦🏻♂️🍿 #tenpages
Agree with every bit of that.
Pretty bang on examples wise 👍
On top of that the theory / hypothetical side of things, in motorsport or mechanics/engineering, often differ so much from the reality. Something which seems to make sense when you hear it or think of it can be right or it can be ass backwards, unnecessary or plain wrong when it comes down to the reality of it. Guys who have been there and done it know it first hand and most of us have instances or examples of this in our profession.
If the riders and teams were more forthcoming with information, there would be less for us " keyboard worriors" to rant about.
Balls in their court!
A lot of the shit posted here in moto by "the regulars", is just that.
Most threads are obvious "scroll on past" threads.
There are indeed a handful of people here worth reading.
Most just argue their stupid takes back and forth with their fellow mototrolls.
But...
Like previously stated,
We all know a bad broadcast crew when we see it.
We all follow other motorsports, and see the difference.
And in no other broadcast do they miss so much action, waste so much time during the motos with their shallow backstories.
Or have a tongue tied semi literate in the booth.
One who says the same thing over, and over, season, after season.
All while saying very little relevant to the current action on the track.
We can often have people over while a Supercross is on, it is Saturday night after all. Even the non-moto people wonder what the hell RC is supposed to be, funny, serious, or comic-relief. As an announcer he is embarrassing.
Its almost like they never went to high school or something.
I believe for RC it’s copium. Seems like a solid guy and a great racer, but has been notoriously awkward with language for as long as I can remember. I get a lot of secondhand embarrassment listening to him and if family or friends happen to overhear the broadcast nearly everytime they hear an RC quote they ask who or what that was.
”we gotta place back home called the Dairy Queen. You can get….blizzards”
Keyboard warriors not knowing is an on going narrative amongst the moto elite media, Weege and Matthes often go on about the "dumb average fan". I remember Weege going on about how fans were too stupid to use TVs when the nationals coverage was shit. Perhaps it is true most fans do not know what we are talking about, to us it is a diversion. But on the other hand the professional media of this sport do not know what the hell the fans of the sport they serve want, and that is their job. All these moto elites may talk about the dumb fans, but the presenters themselves are failing.
Could you imagine an NFL broadcast team talking about how NFL fans don't know what they are talking about? They would lose their job. Some things you can know and not state.
I'll go ahead an accept that I am a keyboard warrior, but I will still harp on the broadcast for making the dumb decisions that they do. Showing a pre recorded interview during a live race was a decision that was made BEFORE the race even started.. That is unacceptable and can easily be fixed by simply SHOWING THE RACE. Don't even split screen it. Just show the live race and that is all. Don't show us Jett watching the race while he is in the pits.. let us, the fans, watch the flipping race.
As for what Ricky says while live, I can't fault him on any of that. I do live presentations at work and screw those up all the time and I know what I'm supposed to say lol
You have been called keyboard warriors by the legends of the sport...clearly THEY are wrong ...
Budds MXDN 2007
Pit Row
Just because they can ride a dirt bike fast doesn’t make them smart.
It’s because of the closed loop that exists in this sport. Actually growing the sport is of much less concern that protecting their paycheck from outsiders.
The announcers don't bug me nearly as much as most here but here's what I think would work best anyway. Weedge and Brayton in the booth . JT only for trackside and Will could stick to podium interviews . I know most of you don't like her but she stays damn it .
funny thing is all of them are trash too , Chris collinsworth , booger McFarland , Tony romo , nfl redzone is where its at! nfl commentating hasent been good since John Madden & Al Michales
Tony Romo is horrible, reminds me so much of RC, always using these buzz words over and over again.
Let this be a LEARNING LESSON to all of you keyboard warriors! It's about time moto media gave some ELBOW GREASE to the haters!!
Or maybe they are gate keeping because they're afraid we're right.
These guys need far thicker skin than they seem to have. They come off as supremely fragile.
Pfft what would they know.
To have an opinion, you apparently must have at least 4 SX Championships like both of them do. I wonder what fans would think if a random commentator, not an all time great like RC, said multiple times last summer that the guy who went undefeated should have pulled over and let his opponent by?
I watch the Title 24 podcast pretty much every week and something that always annoys me is how noticeably happy RC is anytime Sexton struggles. He gives Sexton more shit than any other rider and I guess he feels validated anytime Chase has a bad race, but it's so obviously biased.
The older I get the less I post...because I'm coming to realize that my opinion just doesn't matter to anyone but me, so I keep it to myself more and more...I avoid comment sections on news articles, and I'm honestly starting to come here less and less...the fact that the internet gave EVERYONE a soap box and a microphone is causing so much division...everyone thinks their opinion matters to everyone else, and so they type away with an over inflated sense of ego leveraging the lack of consequence for what they say...when the only way to communicate was face to face (or even over the phone) it kept things in check because you say things differently when you are looking someone in the eyes, and/or can hear their voice (when you remember they are an actual human being) and could potentially get punched in the mouth...
Anyway...keyboard warriors are thing...I try really hard not to be one (though I fail a lot...still)...before I post, I think to myself, would I say this to their face if we were having a conversation...if the answer is "yes", I might post...if the answer is "no" I usually (I'm not perfect) delete it and move on.
