I mean how many 450 outdoor championships and wins were on the line round 1? And then compare to 2023, 2022 and 2021

I rewatched the race last night.. Jett was on him with 7:40 to go and didn't pass him till 1:50 to go then gapped him by 3 seconds in like a lap.. I won't say he was cruising but he was definitely putting on a clinic for expertly keeping someone behind you! I'll say again that he had every right to do it! One of the corners shown was after the mechanics area and there were two lines that met at the exit and Jett got beside him past the mechanics almost got to the corner before him, the pass wasn't gonna get made but it was prob gonna set it up for the next straight but Jason was on the inside and he went the corner juuust slow enough that Jett would have to get on the brakes to avoid hitting him when the lines met which fucked his drive out of the corner which lost him a few seconds! It was beautiful, and I'm sure it wasn't the only time he did it! Plus the more it happened the more frustrated Jett would've gotten and the more frustrated Jett got the more likely he made bad decisions to try and get passed..

1 Jett is being childish after being swatted into place by his senior,
2 Jett is embarrassed for being a twat and cooling off before saying anything more, or

Or, maybe its a mix of all 3, either way, takes him down a notch for sure. In my view, it puts him in the Deegan "Lotsa talent, no class" camp. Gonna be fun watching the next few races, if he and Ando get near each other.
His head had been since monster cup 2019. I'm a fan of his riding, but not so much his personality, super arrogant with a fake humble/modest act.
Seems like good racecraft to me. Have just enough pace and ride wide to keep the guy behind you. Remember, it's about points for everyone. JA wasn't going to catch the leaders, there was no reason for him to push and risk wadding IMO. I certainly think Jett is faster than Jason...no doubt. Again, the track was way better than in the heats where Jett found a way to go from basically last to first in 1/2 a lap. Seems odd he couldn't do the same in better conditions against JA.
Don't think there's tension from Tom working for the Lawrences, he left TF at the end of '22 I believe for a job at RacerX. Not entirely sure what made him leave working with JA, but I don't think there is an ongoing feud leading to this JA and JL beef.
JA was racing for position, taking the optimal line, defending the inside line, brake checking, he did nothing against the rules, he did annoy Jett, which is not against the rules!

Eli was the only person missing, everyone else was a non factor with maybe 1 moto career win to their name. Minus Tomac, throw in whoever you want into the series, and Jett still goes 22-0

The reason he couldn't do the same is because in the heat everyone was bunched up in 1 line behind cade. Jett saw that and went to the outside line around everyone going slow behind cade. Look at the lap times, it wasn't like jett set the world on fire in the heat he just found a open line. Mookie was actually the fastest in that heat.
