I think it’s more technique than power, because Hymas was second off the start in moto 2.

It seems that Shimoda has a slight speed advantage, but the advantage the Star Yamaha has over the Honda HRC on power and starts is much more significant. Shimoda was faster in moto 1 but still lost points on the day because of how underpowered he is off the start. If Honda can find some HPs it should result in a lot more close battles between Davies and Shimoda. Otherwise, I think Davies takes it given he hole shots pretty much every moto.

Jo seems to be the outright fastest guy right now, so if he can keep starting like he did in moto 2, he’ll be hard to beat.

Forgiving yourself self for such a bad take should be your first priority. 👍

His starts are far worse then everyone in front of him and many behind him. He is riding great. Probably going to Need to figure out starts to do much better.

The script reads, start 10-14...finish 5th or 6th showing good fitness and charging till the end. Like to see him get a top 5 start and have him run and see the pace of the top 4 guys for the first half of a moto.

Marchbanks is having a great outdoor season so far.

I’d still like to see Forkner get one more shot on a BarX or ClubMx bike.

Fahey not being out would be the biggest surprise (if you ignore the fact that this is motocross 🙃). As Kawasaki, you have to make a change no matter who is at fault - Fahie got the benefit of the doubt with Prado, but now that Chase is struggling, you just have to let him go. (If true) I hope this can spark new life in the Kawasaki team and help them shake the negative image that has been building for years.

I feel that saying their " 450 program is based on one rider who cant win" is a bit harsh. Their one guy is in 3rd place against two riders that at this point might be the two best riders on the planet. Only so much any of the teams and riders can do against Hondas 450 program right now. The 250 program absolutely seems like a meat grinder though but they still have Davies for now.

Saw in an interview with Weege today before the crash. Sexton basically said: There isnt any progress on the bike He doesn’t expect to win He doesn’t have any expectations on where to finish He’s just gonna go out there and try to manage He’s uncomfortable, and won’t ride past that comfort level. The defeat is becoming so real.

I’m blown away by the fact they shaved 4 seconds (J) and 7 seconds (H) off the fastest laps in the second moto when the track was in worse shape. These freaking guys are aliens at this level.

I truly think if he was on the KTM still he would be right in the mix with Jett and Hunter.. When he is comfortable, he is one of the fastest riders on the planet
