Kind of a weird intro. Not sure why they didn’t just show us a deep dive on the swing arm pivot bolt like most new mx companies do.

Another all black release video. Can we just get an announcement and show the bike please?

I'll probably never be in the market for a Ducati mx bike, but I'm excited to see another brand coming in and look forward to seeing what they have to offer.

The Ferrari of motorcycles! As a motocross fan having a brand that is owned by a huge group like the vag group with all the other iconic brands, this feels like an honor for hour sport! I like to be optimistic, this should be only good! This might bring in new fans from MotoGp and motorcycle people in general. It’s a legendary brand owned by the same group as Porsche and Lamborghini. There isn’t a shortage of money! Welcome to our sport! People want more brands in our sport, now we have 2 new brands Confirmed in the period of 3 weeks. Yet still it’s not good? People still cryin? Come on! This is awesome 🇮🇹

I don’t why, but the thought of Ducati in mx makes my dick so hard.

The dream has now evolved to a Ducati streetfighter V4 next to a Ducati Mx bike in a pristine workshop.

It might have a different valve train but the rest of the bike will be status quo. I don't expect them to stray to far off from the norm. Still exciting times.

Right? TOTALLY copying KTM. I bet they are going to use a 21" front and 19" rear as well. Looks like it has an engine, suspension, disc brakes and plastic bodywork. Blatant KTM ripoff Well played Laughing

I wish Hodaka would make a comeback.

I don't expect them to come in with the best bike out there but I think they will close the gap very quickly.

Given the way they operate in road racing and the domination that has brought them in pretty much every class they have entered it's only a matter of time until they develop their way in.

I can really see them developing similar to KTM in the 2010s, get a top rider and start with an okay bike and 10 years later be a market leader.

Exciting times for Motocross anyway with all the new manufacturers, even if I'm unlikely to own one I'm really excited to see where it all goes!

Am I the only one that feels that with Ducati entering the sport is somewhat a bad thing? I feel like they are going to want a premium for their bikes, probably 15k or more. I feel like this will make other manufacturers raise prices due this and price the weekend warrior out of the sport. Or I could be wrong and they will undercut KTM to shit on them and it will be a competitively priced bike.

Uhm no. Ferrari’s don’t raise the prices of Toyotas.

In all fairness, I don’t think Honda Corp has a shortage of money eitherWinkbut regardless it’s great to continue adding brands to the sport. More factories=more factory seats which is fantastic

That makes no sense. A normal car does not equal a production rule motorcycle.

Well, if Ducati is in the $15k price range and they sell well it won’t really help us, but Ducati will play into that very little because the damage was already done the last 3 years. We already screwed ourselves in that department because of all the guys that went and bought during peak covid and paid waaaaaay over MSRP for bikes. Then add in that I’m sure almost every FE, RE, WE and SR sold for MSRP or higher(with very few exceptions), we’ve already told Yamaha, KTM, Honda, Kawasaki and Husqvarna that we will pay more and not think twice about it.

When they entered the Superbike segment of street-bikes they entered at the top end, but there bikes came with Ohlins suspension, Brembo brakes, Magnesium rims, all the good stuff people add after purchase. None of the other manufacturers did that, they had KYB forks and Nissin brakes aluminum rims etc.  They were providing an off the shelf Super-Superbike.

If they do come in at say $15K, it will probably come with all the high-end bits most people add after purchase, like suspension, chain & sprockets, exhaust & tuning, brakes, etc. etc.etc.

KTM joined motogp in 2017. After 5 “lackluster” years, KTM is now competitive and arguably Ducati’s toughest competition. I believe this Ducati mx project probably started around the same time. This has to be somewhat of a rivalry for European motorcycle racing hierarchy.

Although, maybe I’m reading too much into it.

I thought maybe Kenny at first for 2025, but Ducati doesn't start in the US until 2026 right, so that's out of the water. Who else could it be?

If the sound on the video is truly their bike. Its a 450. Very deep sound. I just hope it has something different. If everyone comes out with such similar bikes from now on, all you pay for is a name.. Here it comes; The silencer and swingarm looks just like the KTM and Triumph. But the front of the bike and the rear fender looks like a Honda so far.
