But I also think that's the first time since 2018 (he also won the opener with a 2-1) that he actually came into the season without an off-season injury. He looks fantastic. Incredible weekend for Vialle aswell though except for the last 10 minutes. 3 Hondas in the top 5 lol.

Herlings has never went 1-1 in and mxgp season opener since his last MX2 season, best season opener results while in MXGP was a 1-2 back in 2020 first GP of the year.
The Yamaha squad has been on a downfall since Vosters lost the management of the team. He beat them with fantic which is Yamaha too but still. Gifting was ahead of them in several races. Something is off in that structure and I think Tims going to feel that soon.

He need time to build speed up. That elbow injury last year was worse than they thought. Pretty much all 2024 lost, and no real training either. Read on a Belgian sport site that he also need to get back some strength in the arm cause it was down to like 30% after they injury

Good to have some GP racing back! Great battles! Herlings in the mix Will be even better when that time come! Track really surprised me! I thought it was going to be a lot worse!

To race This good on a sand track like this with all his injuries l, that’s why he’s so special, there’s is something in the head of this guy that just screams determination!
