To me, this unfortunately cements the notion that riders and teams have little concern with regard to outdoors.

You mean like when Justin Cooper quit riding the Supercross series early so he could get ready for outdoors even though Star only had one 450 bike in action…and none for the final round?

Or when Ferrandis didn’t ride the last few rounds of Supercross even though healthy so he could test for the outdoor season?

My guess is he got caught riding the Yamaha once too many times?

I’ll put on my tin foil hat just for a second, the practice crash was timely this week

Word is he riding the Yamaha when he crashed! KTM found out and that was the catalyst for the departure.

That’s one rumor I heard floating around.

KTM kinda deserved it after they went and redesigned a winning bike. Hopefully we see Webb at SMX

I'm sure he knew he was not coming back with Sexton and AP signed next year. Maybe he asked to be released early and KTM said no problem. I guess that would just make it simple but I'm not genius.

He and Sexton supposedly signed around the same time, and AP didn’t re-sign until recently, so I doubt either had anything to do with it.

They parted on good ways. "The Man" made a solid impression on Coop for the last 5 years....best of luck to him over to the Blue, Godspeed Brother,.

I don't think anyone can get in Jett's head...but Jett can get in everyone else's.

I feel like it's easy to get in his head. Ever see him not win? He gets all hot and starts like throwing his goggles. I'm not saying getting in his head is automatically a win for the other guys, but I wouldn't call him bulletproof either.

he wins and gets upset.. i don't think others bother him. i think he is just hard on himself when self-inflicted mistakes happen.

we watched him win SX races by 15 seconds and still finish angry because he didn't hit a corner right..

I guess that’s what I’m getting at. That’s not normal mental behavior. All I’m saying. I think someone like cooper Webb could inflame that too. Again, not get in his head and make him crumble but I think cooper would totally piss him off and see where it goes. Jett is arrogant.

Matthes just released a renthal reaction and explained the issue webb had with the bike. Cooper brought his own suspension in for.the first few rounds and was very happy with it. Apparently Ap wanted the same stuff. Ktm said no and made coop start running factory stuff again. Which showed in his results it sounds like that was the straw that broke the camels back. Obviously leading up to this there was other issues. Including ktm not letting coop out of his deal to go ride for craig dack in wsx.

Im going to say the bike isnt good but not dog shit. There has been enough riders say how they feel about the bike to say its not  good.

Seems that Webb has gotten soft and MX is too tough on his body. Jet on the other hand is full gas and not thinking about getting back in his motohome with the AC blasting. Webb had his ego deflated when a privateer kicked his “@&!. Jet has everyone covered for a few years to come.

Oooh this sounds interesting. Gonna go listen to it now.

Yes, but the field was so thin at a few rounds this year that I imagine Roger saying: if you can’t get on the podium now…

How that came out? Ktm didnt give him own bike to ride so he was riding own/others bike that day?

If that was really case KTM sure saved tons of money after contract violation?

Gonna go out on a limb and guess he was running KYB fork internals - seems like the superior setup on the pierer mobility machines

It ain't the bike. It was clear Cooper was not on pace in MX and looked pretty much over it despite having a depleted field to race against. He was over it, over KTM, and ready to move on. Good on him for being honest and not just mailing it in, and good on KTM to see the obvious. When we see him on a Yamaha is anyone's guess.

When I saw him up-close at Hangtown, he displayed no signs of being "over it." He was riding his ass off and came up a bit short. It's not like he's been dialing it back, unhappy with the bike. He's giving it 100 percent.

Webb to do selected WSX rounds under the CDR Yamaha tent.

Make some quick money and start testing the new YZ450.

Then back to Star Yamaha for SMX rounds and 2024 AMA.

I could see that happening considering CDR is a factory Yami team, except Webb said himself he’s out for the summer. So back for SMX at the earliest?

Don't you know the Vital protocol for this? Every thread has to have the Jett is the shit, Star Yamaha is the shit and KTM sucks so badly that your grandma won't even ride it quotes.  As long as one of the three is mentioned in each thread the world will continue to rotate lol.

If true, that does not make sense to me....many people say the advantage of a factory ride is almost unlimited resources to make the rider feel comfortable.  does the factory team manager, leadership get so arrogant that they think the factory stuff is the best and force a rider to deal with it?  I thought the idea was to win, don't other factory teams allow riders to choose their suspension?
