Outdoor testing in full swing with the week off.  Ando, Barcia, Webb, Craig, Hampshire, Vohland, Vialle and a few more.  Watched a bit in between my rides, was cool to see them shaking it down.

So with Mookie out for Rockstar Husky this summer. Anybody think they will fill the 2nd spot on a 450 ?

Maybe Colt Nichols or Bennie Bloss by chance ?

Expecting he'll light it up this summer riding well prepped US tracks.

I can't tell you how jealous I am of that. I'm sure you're used to it living in Cali. But I would just park my bike and fanboy out

Nothing more humbling than feeling like you’re absolutely flying just to have one of these guys pass you like you’re standing still. To an extent we get used to it, but to see the speed they actually go while being on the track with them is a completely different experience.

The most humbling experience I received was when I was racing one of the local pros. (They put A, B, and C on the same gate due to low turn out.) He gave us a half of a lap head start and then he passed everyone and dropped us like a sack of potatoes.. And then failed multiple times to qualify for nationals. It is unbelievable how fast the top tier is.

Didn't he have an ACL repair?  That used to be a 6 month deal but maybe they can do it in 4 months.  I'm sure he is on the mend.

Yes it’s been cold. Crazy long, wet winter here that has made me appreciate the usual 2 month winter. Ready for some 120* baked clay Pala….until it is.

I'd love to know what's considered cold in Cali?

I think 6 months is about as fast as you can recover and really better off to take extra time to build up muscles around the knee to prevent reoccurrence. He did an interview last week I think and it sounded like he was still on crutches. It will take some time to build up fitness again too.

I know it's "practice" and just on video, but that's the best I've seen Vohland look.

When you wear a long sleeve shirt.

Or worse yet long pants.

Dennis Jonon used to do that on 65’s in Missouri. Quite humbling.
