I think we are extremely fortunate to have the greatest motocross racer of all time and his arch rival adding their thoughts and color to our enjoyment of the broadcasts of our beloved sport. And I think those who are too ungrateful and stupid to enjoy having their commentary as a continued part of that sport simply reveal how petty, self-important and small-minded they are.

Yea, the Coombs family built and owns the track. Whether or not they are promoting this race and setting the schedule/prices or simply operating the track for a promoter to set schedule/prices is the question I'd ask myself.

The economics of charging $40-50 to ride don't seem to add up for tracks that aren't open on a regular schedule.

Interesting new concept. Break practice up into 3 and 2.5 hour sessions that you pay for separately. Considering that most East Coast tracks (i.e. Southwick) run practice from 9 to 4pm, I'm not sure how I feel about that...

Based on your logic a rider should not get his front wheel next to the rider ahead of them as cutting over and taking out front wheels (before they can take your advice and slow down) should be the expected. The stick and ball analogy of a bench warmer getting an opportunity to ride makes sense to me. Practically speaking, If he usually qualifies (but not in the top 10) it opens up a spot on the gate for someone else to fill it.

Whats the recovery time for having pins removed from your wrist? From personal experience of getting 4 pins removed from a wrist, it's a few days to let the incision(s) close up. Not hate, just facts 🤷

If he wants to sit the race out 2 years in a row, that’s his choice But he can leave the flag off the podium and refrain from saying “American boy” in his interviews going forward

at this point, don't let deegan go next year when it's convenient for him... pretty bummed he isn't going. at least go over there to prove a point about yourself against the world 250 riders if you think the team sucks. kind of contradicting myself from earlier posts but god damn dude have some pride. edit: assuming this has more to do with eli not going than his wrist.

Deegan represents an ugly side of US culture that I'm seeing a lot more of in recent years. People like Deegan will wave the American flag when it serves his own interests, but as soon as he has to step up and represent America, he's no where to be seen. Props to Chase, Plessinger, and Hymas. Can't wait to see them line up!

Good. I’m happy to see 3 guys go who actually want to represent our country. I personally hope Deegan is never considered for another MXoN again. I have all the confidence in the world in Sexton, Plessinger and Hymas. No matter what happens at the race I’m already proud of them.

A cool feature of vital would be if, just for yourself, you could mute the posts of specific user names and never see them. Some threads might be hard to understand, but it would be a great crowd-sourced way of weeding out the toxic users.

I had the pleasure of meeting and running into Ted at the races over the past couple of years. His and TPJ's departure will leave a big hole in the pits that will be hard for anyone to fill.
