Rode the new Elsinore this weekend. Dirt is still not great, but does seem a bit better than it used to be. Concrete base with some big cloddy dirt on top that seems to dry up quick. Corners developed some good lines still. Layout was fun - some big jumps out there, but they are well made and not sketchy. That was some really great racing in moto one Open Pro class. The top 6 guys were really on it. The battle between Demartile and Milesevic was intense. Demartile was riding great, but Milesevic wanted the pass at all costs.. I thought he might even throw it away at times.. he was absolutely pinned. The Beta 350's were doing just fine, but I doubt the engines were anything close to what is offered off the showroom floor. Minimum 2 times a week, 1 public track day and 1 day at a private spot to do drills and ride a woods loop. I try to ride on weekdays so the tracks are not super crowded, as I get older, 58 now, I don’t like being on public tracks that are super busy on the weekends….some days I feel like I”m getting too old to be on the Mx tracks…..other days I don’t give a shit… I would ride more but my body cant take the pounding like it used to….I Mtn. & road bicycle on my off days...

No joke, funny you assume. So three days riding in a week you are cool with spending well over $200. I’m into a 3- 4 month visit. Yes $50 is too much. Looking for suggestions on tracks to visit. Thanks

I was at Pala yesterday. As I pull in looking at the vet track I'm thinking some jump faces look steep and sharp. Through the time I was there I would say that less than half could clear the jumps. This is a vet track. We don't need gaped doubles with steep faces. Jumps that if you short land will launch you because the landing is higher than the take off. I've seen that several times where people got hurt. I thought the main track should have all those features not a vet track. This vet vs. main track design...

I cant understand for the life of me the practice days at Glen Helen etc, Pro riders practising with 65cc kids together. In Aus it has been graded practice at all tracks for 20 yrs or so. To me thats a no brainer. Body armour mandatory too like MXGP

The above pic was taken from the vip area directly behind is a beach bar that had live music all day then behind that was the vendor area, then a mini street course, then motorcycle parking. Stuff to see and do for about a half mile along the beach. All for free! Well not really, $9 12 oz. Beers but hey gotta pay to play. See you next year.
