The rule is the rule.
Why was Deegan in the trailer at all?
A claim was made. The money was submitted.
Too be honest, this should all be handled as anonymously as possible.
And we can see why. Because they let Deegan and a MX Sports leader bully a minor in private. To the point he rescinded his claim.
You had members of the Deegan family going over to the pits of the claimant.
Outrageous doesn’t even begin to accurately describe this situation.
Shame on MX Sports, AMA, and the Deegans.
Great job once again DC. And the racer head article about this was the biggest steaming pile of dog shit you have ever tried to get us to believe.
It’s like when you all do something at work you know you’re not allowed to then some one has to be an asshole and ruin it for every one.

Huge props for ML512. Very happy to see that he is interested in the truth and not sweeping this under the rug.
See above “ journalists”.
As others have posted, Tim Cotter needs to be terminated immediately. First and foremost. Clean out your desk, you are gone.
Yamaha needs to have legal action brought upon them for illegal actions at the highest level. To threaten a dealership should amount to a multimillion dollar lawsuit.
The AMA needs to see where theirs balls have been hiding and take over this situation and fix the issues. And I do not mean by removing the claiming rule.
1) Expel Tim Cotter from any further involvement in any AMA events
2) Sanction Matt Walker, HEAVILY!!!
3) Put Star Yamaha and Yamaha on notice and penalize them if they cross the line again in any scenario
4) Coach their officials on how to handle claims in a more professional manner, protecting the claimant and having an impound prepared. How was this not addressed and the cluster fuck that followed allowed to happen?. The AMA should have been protecting Schofield from any backlash from anyone.
5) When the moto was over, and the claim was made, it was no longer Yamaha’s (Star’s) bike. Even if Deegen had another moto. It should have been sent directly to the Schofield’s pits.
This is a sad day in MX history.
Now I wait to see how the heavily Yamaha sponsored Ping handles this cluster fuck on his platform. I hope he dives deep and does not waiver based on his sponsorship.
Unfortunately I have seen the AMA in action since 1969. This will be dealt with poorly and all of us will just throw up our hands in disgust and realize nothing will change and the shit balls that run our beloved sport will go in doing whatever they feel like doing.
At least I can have more spare time not reading RacerX, listening to PlupMX and following Weege on social media.
To be clear. This story should have been as simple as, bike claimed at LL. That is it, nothing more, nothing less.
1000% This!
On a different note; it looks like the comments are off over at racerx site. Is that normal?
It would be like if I brought my 3rd grade teacher to my colonoscopy appointment.
Pit Row
Shit I’d pay $17k for a full blown star bike. Like right now!!
Brennan comes across as very credible. He did not disparage anyone and maintained his poise, and I imagine he was as “cool” with Cotter and Deegan, which may have led to the Walker & Yamaha engagement. Retracting the claim may be the best longer-term option, as Brennan has clearly gained the support of the moto community.
Even if only 50% of its true it’s still fucked up..
The biggest issue I see is why was Brian brought in and allowed to talk to the kid? That's weird.
Post a reply to: Brennan Schofield interview about his Deegan bike claim!
