7/29/2026 10:23am I don’t see anyone saying this was ok. That said, I (and I’m guessing most of us), after receiving an explanation from Mike and evaluating the totality of the circumstances (apparently upstanding guy otherwise, daughter fishing with him, pole barn vs home/garage/etc) would have said “bro, if you’d have asked, I’d have given it to you. Please put it back when you’re done.” Or, if receiving the explanation after the police were involved, and seeing he left the net behind, we would have apologized for wasting LE’s time and declined going forward with charges. The backlash is to a typical...

7/29/2026 10:17am You know it’s possible to disagree with Mike’s choice(s) AND with the disproportionate reaction by the HOA Karen, right?

7/29/2026 10:17am You're not wrong. A lot of speculation on all sides here. A lot of conflicting opinions can be true at the same time. It was a spur of the moment bad decision on Mike's part. 2 actually. Dont "borrow " something from someone you aren't friendly with without asking, and for sure return it. Don' make excuses why you didn't. Had he asked or put it back the next morning, probably a different outcome... Stupid charges for sure. But SO much info that is not known... Was it a delapited shed with junk all over, or a shed in which...

7/24/2026 11:06am Gonna take a stab at the Slate. It’s electric. It’ll be perfect for running around the Southland and I might even get one for the shop where our electric is stupid cheap. Gave them the $50 deposit and I’ve got a build siting in their “builder”. Gonna do the basic truck in grey, big battery, lift, all terrains, aux switches, dash speaker mount (JBL BT speaker), door cubbies, steering wheel BT switches…I’m guessing around $31-32K…I’m expecting the battery to be the most expensive upgrade. We’ve got a Mach E and it’s been awesome. My wife uses it for her OC...

7/24/2026 11:01am For some reason that Slate truck gives me a similar feel to a failed kickstarter project... Hopefully I'm wrong and they are successful. I would buy a truck like that for short trips to the hardware store, etc. from an established brand or one that has a couple of years of production under their belt. Originally I bought my 1992 Toyota Pickup with the intent of doing an EV swap. It has 154,000 original miles, ice cold A/C and it's too nice to hack up for a project. If I come across a straight body with a dead engine I'll...

7/24/2026 11:01am It wasn’t the original plan to get another tundra, i was going to keep my 2014 tundra with 160000 miles on it. It was getting to the point i was going to have to do A LOT of preventative maintenance and i made the mistake of going to the dealer and they gave a great deal on the trade and off the truck where other stealerships were doing the 25-5000 over MSRP nonsense… then they offered 2.99 financing … i was like well shit just do it! I did look at the Rangers and Canyons and was going to go...

7/24/2026 11:00am I wanted a smaller truck but in the end you get to the age where you realize you can’t take the money with you so what the hell … 2025 Tundra 1794 with trd off-road package it is, it’s so nice i didn’t want to go to the track to get it dusty 🤷♂️😂

7/24/2026 10:57am Cheers Phil, much appreciated mate. After 17 hours holding her, she took her last breath. I didn't let her go until I saw the life leave her about 10-15 mins later. She'd left us. It was the worst experience I've had. Everything is still rather raw, I was very close to her you see. The old Merc drove like a dream, a 98 C200 petrol. 500 miles mostly over 90mph, it was flawless. I'll work on her now, make her pretty again. Still looking for a good 465 frame and good airbox Lol

7/24/2026 10:54am We shared a journey doing the same bikes, at the same time, he was one of the few guys that i spoke with on here with DM's and often wondered how he was doing , i know he went quiet a few times and always popped up again. The fact we never met in person, was a shame, but i classed him as a friend anyway. I knew what he had been through and how much you guys meant to him. So sorry for you loss , my thoughts are with you and your family.

7/24/2026 10:54am My sincere condolences. Your father was a great man and an asset to this forum. Let us know what you need to complete the build. There are enough of us here to lend a helping hand to finish that project. I’m sure somebody on this board will have the parts you’re n need of.

7/24/2026 10:53am In Memory of Gaza (UFOpilot) Continuing His Legacy Hi everyone, I’m Gaza’s daughter. I’m writing to share some heart-wrenching news with you all. On May 3rd, my dad passed away after battling pneumonia brought on by his COPD. He fought so hard, but unfortunately, he couldn’t recover this time. I know how much he loved this community and how excited he was to build this Suzuki RM465 for me and my three little ones. Finding that engine was such a huge moment for him, and reading his posts shows just how much heart and miracle-working he put into everything he...
