First off , Merry Christmas you guys.

Second......Yeah , Eli is going to be on a mission this year. Weird seeing him on blue , but I honestly think this is going to be the change he needed. He is going to crush it this year. Not a prediction.......He's going to crush it.

I'm more excited for A1 than Christmas.
Yes, I think he'll do well since he has a team that will do and change whatever he needs.

5 premier class SX championship wins in 11 years says that Team Kawi have a good idea what needs changing and what doesn’t..

I’m interested to see how he looks, he has his suspension and chassis guy from the Honda days..
Those 4 motos before he got hurt on the Honda was some of the fastest riding I have ever seen.

I agree, I have a feeling Eli is going to surprise some people. If he gets comfortable, the boys better watch out!

I have a feeling that Webb will start slow and finish really strong as he builds confidence snd dial the bike.

I have a feeling Ken will have a similar season to those past.

It's going to be interesting if Tomac goes full beast mode and these two can't touch him

Tomac fan here
Given his current family situation , it’s my opinion we have seen the last of any “ Beast Mode “ rides from Tomac .
Last years conservative riding we saw is a good indicator .
I hope I’m wrong and he goes out and puts the clamps to the field .
Can’t wait to see what this year brings .

I don't see "beast mode" necessarily winning him a SX title. Supercross is more about technical riding and tactical warfare than out and out speed. He had a tough time getting the first one and this one will not be easier. I still think it goes through a healthy Webb new bike or not.

It's likely one or all of them could score a win but breaking into the big three consistently? I'd pick Bam as the one with a shot at doing that.

I’ll be happy for him if he can just not have his typical up and down season….and his pants don’t fall off.

I think this is a pretty big deal, and that star already had a very good base setup. We may see him comfortable more consistently. Atleast that’s what I’m hoping

Eli isn’t stupid…neither is John. If Yamaha hadn’t given him Carte Blanche to do whatever it took to make him 100% comfortable…he could have easily found an alternative. I believe he’ll come out swinging, and shock the complete shit out of a whole lot of people.

He’ll win a couple as will several others. They are splitting hairs on lap times and it’ll be a case of he who makes the least amount of mistakes wins. Going to be a good season that’s going down to the wire.

Funny there is not much mention of Ferrandis being in the mix after Barcia wins A1….

It’ll be interesting to watch how he does. The problem will be the same as every other year with him and that’s managing his bad nights. The color of the bike doesn’t change the stripes of the tiger on the seat. He’s special to watch on his on nights though.

Sorry, remind me again. How many championships did Chad Reed (one of the greatest riders in the history of the sport) win after starting his family?

Merry Christmas Jeffro, hope you’re right.
You too man!!

And yeah , I was knocking down some serious White Russians last night when I made this thread haha. It's all good though , even sober I feel the same way about Eli. Seems to be spilt right about down the middle.

So weird , the 2022 SX season is only a couple weeks away. Crazy how fast this off season went by.

Reading the tea leaves, I think its checkers or wreckers (or he will lay up if a race win is out of reach) for Eli this year meaning he's going for race wins in the record books as opposed to winning a championship. If the Championship is there for the taking, then I'm sure he will go for it. But after watching his video, sure seems like he was insinuating he is looking to go after his standings in the record books for win totals. I love it and looking forward to seeing him on the YZ. The only thing I don't like about it is, its going to screw my RM Fantasy picks up on a weekly basis.....

Raw speed isn't gonna matter in SX if he keeps starting around 10th or worse. Can't charge through the pack with this field.

Watching the recent Bell video, I tend to think that desire to win at any cost might be starting to fade away. Sounded like he realises he has achieved a lot in moto, has a wife and kid to go home to. That said, imo he looks more comfortable on the YZ so I am hoping he kills it next year.
