On the bright side (if there is one) it could turn the sport of MX back towards scrambling where you ride your KLX250 to the track, take off or tape up your headlight, then ride it back home after the race.

Good luck my friend. We have been completely overrun by out of state people (California, Washington, Utah). Home prices are no longer affordable and all the good hunting, fishing, riding is being closed off because California money has bought the land and closed off access. Most things that have made it a great place to live are being changed because those coming here are implementing the same things they are trying to get away from. We try to be very welcoming to all but it is sad to see those that have worked hard to make a living here struggle because the influx of people from other states. If you do move here shoot me a message I'd love to show you the amazing beauty of Idaho but leave your Californication at the front door. Hot tip change your plates and Oh and winters are COLD!!!!

California is really 7 different distinct regions:
-Central Valley from Bakersfield to Redding
-SoCal
-High Dez
-Central Coast
-Bay Area
-Sierras / Mountains
- Northern CA Coast and Coast Range

There is more variance in culture and attitudes than probably any other state.

Been in Cali for 20+ years. Been to many states. Not sure if I'd like living somewhere else more than here though. Most people living in Cali love Cali. Most people living out of Cali, hate Cali. Just like me with Florida, I can NOT stand that state unless Dylan goes 1-1 at its National haha. I do LOVE the Midwest from June to September but there's November to February there...

Electric by 2035?.... Sounds good to me! Some states just don’t give a shit about their environment. I wish we could fast forward 15 years and see the expression on your face when you’re the only one burning fossil fuels. The times are changing old man (I am assuming) and California is on the forefront. It would behoove you to embrace new technology rather than fight it.... and if that means quieter bikes and a cleaner environment, why would you? Unsure

Not a popular opinion on here, but I'm all for it. Giving a deadline I think is a good thing to help with environmental issues and the transition into the future. I think quieter bikes will give us more places to ride eventually as well. I understand some of the frustration on here for sure. But at least for me and thinking about our society outside of moto, I think it will have a good impact in time if it stays in place.

I hear all this crap about we need quieter dirbikes, meanwhile before I finish typing this I'll hear 2 sirens, a helicopter, multiple planes, fireworks, but somehow.....somehow a dirtbike off in the distance in the hills in the middle of the day is going to trigger someone to call and make a noise complaint ?. And then what pisses me off more than those guys is the powers that be that actually listen to them and then make it their mission in life to stop this horrible noise ?.... fuck off....Those people need to chill out and go enjoy life. Kids aren't riding in the hills at night, I haven't even brought up freeway noise, how's that jake brake at 3:00am ? Honestly I don't know where these people came from or what they expect life should be. Or if they're from here how they got so....... fuck....pussified ? What's the word ? How do they get to the point where that actually bothers them enough that it needs to be stopped ? The thought that a motorcycle heard in the middle of the day is going to negatively affect their way of life if so laughable it's absurd. Lived in the Bay Area for 1.5 years. Exciting for about a week, and then it was a low point in my life. I can’t think of anything that I really liked about that place.

I’ve been in AZ ever since and absolutely love this state

1. ICE dirt bikes will be around until electric dirt bikes are clearly better.

2. California is fine, has its pluses and minuses like any other state. I have lived in Oakland, San Francisco, Temecula, and Newport Beach. All solid places to live. I much prefer Philly, though. Better dirt, less hippies/vegans, and people have a sense of humor.

I may be the exception, but the wife and I visited San Diego last year. I’d move there in a heartbeat if I had more marketable job skills or had chosen a different career. not many petrochemical facilities in that area.

Not to make this political - but I find this extremely humorous:

Joe Rogan and now Tom Segura are moving to Austin. They have cited their frustration with the government in CA, and IMO, to each their own. So they will now be moving to TX and voting the exact same way (based on their recent comments).


Here’s a good analogy: People will A) complain about the status of their lawn.... and Cool move into a new home with new green sod, treat the lawn (vote) the same way, and expect it to not turn out like the first lawn.
