Don’t mess with disks. Had 2 herniated, rehab fixed it. Pounding of 35 min outdoor motos and 20 min supercross main are different. Heal up!

That sucks. Hope he takes the time off he needs and comes back out swinging when SX picks back up.

It's amazing that he was able to line up and finish at all.

Say what you want about Webb, he doesn't shy away from a challenge.

Herniated disk is a lifelong deal imo. It’s always an issue. Smart move

Shitter deal but lucky that he came away from that crash and still be able to finish the SX season.

I'd say that Webb is as tough as anyone in the sport.
That was a brutal hit to his back when he landed on the concrete, and apparently did a lot of damage. I really hope that he can get healed up and get back to racing. The sport is much better with him in it.

If you happen to read this Cooper, there are many of us praying for you.

Bummer. I flew down to Dallas to watch that SX and I saw his crash live, his original injury this year, I just thought his whole season was over after watching that. Tough hit!

It's BS that the side of the track was bare concrete....how is there not a "real" safety manager that has the authority to say,,"hold up a minute, spread a foot of dirt on that" and "hey guys, I think that's enough lime on the track for tonight"

and even after all these crashes on the Dragon Backs, and a 18yr old loosing his life at Vegas, is anybody saying...no mas?

What a bummer for Coop, you could tell there was something wrong with him that 2nd moto.

As others have said he's one tough dude and what a competitor, he will never give up till the Checkers come out.

Looking forward to when he comes back healthy.

Get well Coop! 👍

Hope, he heals up quick! He seemed like he found more speed at the end of sx. Bummed out, it would've been fun seeing him battle in mx.
Hopefully they give Benny Bloss a shot as a fill in!

As you and Kryan5 said, it would be great to see Big Ben be slotted in as a replacement.

Having myself 2 ruptured discs in my back I think this is one type of injury that's really worth taking time off to make sure you’re fully ready before coming back. I was in hell for a year but after properly building up all kinds of muscle around the back and core I couldn’t even tell I ever had something wrong with my back. I hope all goes well for Cooper , Definitely worth taking some time to deal with this one conservatively

Torn nerve? That sounds even nastier than the discs.

Its a shame RB KTM has been very consistenly NOT filling their injured riders bikes.

I can´t even recall the last time they did that. They really should.

I mean, props to factory Yamaha for putting Alex Ray on a fill-in last year. They knew he wouldnt run up front but they did it anyway. Probably was a feeling of a lifetime for Alex.

Some teams dont require to have 2 riders, depends on contracts, sponsors. Etc. Add another means more money if they have to pay the fill in. Its not that simple to just put a rider on a team. Prior contracts.

is a foot of hard packed dirt going to be that much better than concrete?
