why do you persist with the white knighting and horribly weak analogies. you haven't produced a P&L either yet you have just as much or more conviction in your viewpoint as your opponents. you keep saying the same thing. over. and over. we get it.

The whole thing is a money grab. You think Enzo Temmerman thinks winning LL last year holds any merit at this point?

Its honestly sad to watch these 70 year old men destroy something right in front of our eyes because they have no foresight into viewership metrics and organic marketing. They are so focused on greasing every fucking penny out of this sport and squeezing every dime in any way they can get it they completely have lost the big picture. When Lorettas was free to watch on youtube, it was probably the MOST accessible mainstream coverage we will get. Its FREE, it would show up on anybody that's adjacently into motorsports feed and potentially pull in new and YOUNG viewers...

Some people will never pull their head out their ass to see its all connected and owned by the same mafia of people ruining this sport. I dont know how anyone could believe MXSports would let someone broadcast the race they put on and own and not make money off it or own the broadcasting network or channel. The Cotter/Coombs mafia strikes again

" Hundreds of millions of potential viewers will have the opportunity to witness the world’s most elite amateur talent compete for coveted AMA National Championships at the sport’s most famous and hallowed grounds." I'm not sure how this is an upgrade or bragging point when the previous arrangement was available to all 6 billionish people worldwide that have internet access. This one's a head-scratcher for me.

I guess it's a way to suck every last dollar out of every last family member, friend,Tom,Dick&Harry that's not going to the race.Gotta get every last penny! They cant have you seeing ANYTHING for free, its too tough on them.I guess they thought they have been losing too many dollars on amateur mx just charging all the very reasonable amounts on attendees only.(big eye roll and sarcasm about this whole stupid decision). Thanks sooooooo much!

"it is my opinion that revenues have risen more than costs. I arrived at this inference due to the fact that we know their fees have increased in recent years. in addition, as a promoter-type business with a highly-optimized routine and long-tenured employees, it is likely their costs have remained relatively consistent. Unless the venue has raised rates precipitously, after a stable decades-long relationship, or unless event insurance has become exceedingly expensive for them despite a dearth of tort lawsuits in their lengthy history, there are no foreseeable reasons why costs would rise more than what they're able to recoup...

What businesses are you anecdotally involved in that are analogous to this one? What makes you think their revenues are declining? Next you're going to tell me all these concert promoters charging millennials $150 a ticket are barely making ends meet. Bc tariffs. Or something.

I would love nothing more than an independent promoter to come along, and put together something like WSX is to SX for the amateur scene and see LL go down. They need more amateur races each year. Less classes, and a more realistic path to the pros than just 2 weeks and 6 motos each summer.

I don’t know about anything else but I’d bet the livestream made them money. Maybe not a lot but I doubt they were putting up that broadcast for the past 10 years or whatever it’s been purely for the love of the sport while they actively lost money. They saw an opportunity to make more and jumped at it, I get it but I’m certainly not going to support it. Funny thing is I’m sure quite a few people would happily pay 5-10 dollars just to watch Loretta’s for the week but nope, they had to package it with less...

IF You dig a little past the AI info. You'll see its wrong about Racer TV. Its connecting RACER TV to the RACER Network. AI is considering them the same thing when they are 2 different but similar companies. Racer X, Racer TV, Racer Productions. The parent company seems to be WORLD SPORTS HOLDINGS LLC. They all have the same Morgantown WV address. RACER TV is a registered trademark (Registration #7293163) owned by WORLD SPORTS HOLDINGS LLC, a MORGANTOWN based entity located in WV. The trademark was filed on 18 Sep 2022 with serial number (# 97596090) and registered on...

Free to the consumer does not mean they don't generate revenue. YouTube with ads generates revenue. Just like broadcast did with TV for decades. The only 'cost' to the consumer was their time and attention to watch ads.

They were bringing in revenue by selling it to sponsors previous years. Clearly they felt they could make more by selling it to Flo, and made the choice to prioritize more revenue for them knowing the cost would get passed on to the family members wanting to stay updated on their loved ones racing and fans wanting to watch the up-and-coming racers. They already have so many revenue streams from this race, can't help but feel it was a greedy decision.

Be funny to hear if it’s the same broadcast with dead air between interviews, races and dumb inside jokes. Don’t really see a good way to stream multiple full race days with a “real” crew so assuming it will be similar to the fee show from years past
