I said in the race day thread at the moment it happened that there’d be some crying over the move, but I didn’t think people would still be carrying on nearly a week and several threads later!

to be a MTB-er and MX-er from the 90s and to see John Tomac's son killing it... it's pretty damn cool... Now the NC boy in me does pull for Paul Webb too,but nothing would make my summer better than to see Tomac close out his career with a 5th MX title! (and showing Chet how it's done) sure seems "Epic"!

I’ll put my “team” in here, I have joined forces with Joel at Coastal Moto (a new team out of Nova Scotia). We’re still waiting to finalize a couple of big sponsors. But it’s the Coastal Moto / Zeigler Motorsports / KTM team I’ll be racing the 450 class Happy to see teams growing again. Hopefully it’s gets back to what it was pre Covid.

Every time Herb puts up a pic of that 430....I instantly start drooling. One of the best looking bikes I've ever laid my eyes on. Gawd that thing is beautiful!

Ya, Thats not Hunting when you have an Animal stuck for you to slay at will. Also i don't hunt with Armament. like to think me going out in the forest with a Bow/arrow is more equal to hunting the animal I am after. When I was younger I used to hide in the Limbs above with a blade to capture my game. That never worked out so I bought a Long Bow.LOL

Your first love is the one you always remember. That used YZ-80 (77) lasted a couple years before I bought an 81 YZ-80, by then was into racing. ...next was an 83 YZ-80.. but I had a massive growth spurt and in the same year moved up to an 83 YZ-125. I love all the memories involved with these bikes... I remember the KX-80s were killers back then.

Kid's an f'n stud. It's almost a modern day Pastrana vs Deegan rivalry between him and Hodges, with different back stories. Everyone knows Hodges was raised in a wealthy family with out really having to worry about much, his next door neighbor is/was McGrath. Hopefully this is the start of a new era where these kids are having fun AND being successful. Jett and Haiden both make me wanna go ride, been a while since we've seen that kind of enthusiasm. Anstie as well, actually.

Why would he not ? He is healthy and wins at a regular pace. Jett will be the next to challenge but who knows when it will click for him.

I think the point of it was that when Chad was "way past his prime" he was still making more money than a racer without his past results and name, that was getting similar results would be getting paid. And Often you'll hear retired racers talk about how they turned down 30K to race overseas or similar or less amounts, and say how they wish they had done it back then.
