Knowing this a one and done type of thing, it was awesome. Actually raced way better than I was expecting, probably due to the heavy rain.

Way I see it, this is a savior and never happening again. No negatives when you look at the big picture.

Great track! Rut-fest, but tons of lines and loads of passing spots that didn't require block passing....

It looked about as fun as jamming a pipe cleaner up your pee pee... but I’m glad racing is back.

Track looked pretty bad to me. Too much sand/ soft topsoil. It looked closer to Southwick.

I love hills in moto but this track offered some excellent racing. I wasn’t too thrilled when I heard of a National being held at a amateur race venue but I was wrong. I loved seeing spectators and the racing was excellent and when that happens you need to give some credit to the track

I know many were saying it was going to be too mellow for pros being an amateur track. I wonder the stats on injuries for the race? I thought each riders race craft really came into play and that makes for good racing. The biggest jumps and most technical, awkward sections don’t necessarily equal better racing.

Haha! The one time I actually raced there my last moto the track looked about like it did in the first moto yesterday. I could barely even ride around the damn thing lol! Greatest week of my moto life though!

That was good racing, I don’t care what anyone says about the track. Physical, technical, tight, rough, tons of lines and nothing like most national tracks.

I’d love to see the series go to LLs every year.

That track was awesome racing and a lot more technical than it gets credit for. I really enjoyed the change up. A lot of people changed their opinions of it this week. The track earned the respect of the racers too no doubt. Lots of passing and battles till the end.

Sorry, I don't agree with most here. Take one amateur track, mix in plenty of water, add four motos of pro riders and watch the beat down. Oh joy, they get to do the same thing next weekend. I'll bet Ironman can't come soon enough for these riders.

For outdoor MX I like natural terrain and elevation changes and maybe a couple a berm corners (examples like Red Bud, Spring Creek and Washougal). Half the jumps were bone crushers because they were over jumped and flat landed. Looks like it was designed for amateur (slower) riders and nothing major was changed. Whoops were decent but for the most part it was a sprint race from one multi rutted corner to the next multi rutted corner.

It will be interesting to see what the track looks like under drier conditions.

I thought it was a pleasant and appreciated change of pace, it delivered some good racing and i welcome back the great outdoors. Not every track has to be the largest, steepest, most technical layout out there to provide some good racing, let these guys race each other not the tracks. I do think it will be completely different without the large amount of rain they received last week. We shall see, bring on next week!

Track was tough enough to seperate the men from the boys. Tomac, Anderson, Webb, AC all fell apart one way or another throughout the day.

Looked about as good as it could have been from a fans perspective. I'm just stoked to see these guys racing again.

I missed the elevation changes, but the tighter and very technical track, made for some awesome racing.

Hopefully it becomes a yearly stop. Mixing up the style of tracks is good for the season.

Looked really rough and raced great. If the racing is great, what's not to like? Looking forward to next weekend already.

Great track considering the weather they had. Tight for an outdoor track and super soft dirt. I can't help but think that the 3 weeks of vigorous practicing that Osborn and Anderson did in Europe to prep for MXON (sometimes with top level GP riders), and things they no doubt learned, was of some benefit today. Track was very euro-like in many regards. Zach and Jason looked fast and flowed well. Jason just gassed in moto 2 I think.

Was thinking the same thing about it looking like some of the GP tracks. I also found myself wondering why all the talk in advance of the National that it was a "one time only" deal and "not ideal" for a pro national; aside from the lack of natural elevation changes, looked great to me from TV. Are there logistical concerns with having a regular national at LL? Because it's far from the worst track on the circuit, in my opinion...
It was suppose to be a one time deal, but since Washougal canceled, they're making it a two time deal.
I think a lot of people saying it wasn't ideal for a national motocross was due to it being so small and tight compared to the other national tracks. That it wouldn't provide good racing.
It has some very wide turns and the dirt is soft. When you have big, wide loamy corners, wide straight and a lot of grip, faster riders can get around a slower riders by pure speed alone. To me that is a good thing. Of course the track was nothing but insane deep ruts on saturday, but that isn't normally the case.
Personally, I liked it. It's something different. It's no Red Bud, Glen Helen, or Washougal, but it's cool in s way I guess. Slower speeds and softer dirt means riders are less likely to get injured in a crash. Another positive I reckon.

I think a few tweaks, and no rain, it will be different again
I thought the track was great in the second motos, the rain ruined the first motos in my opinion. Just too many ruts all over the place but you can't do anything about that.

As for the camera positions and work, i agree with you 100%. Horrible, absolutely horrible.

The track crew did a great job and there were lots of places to make a pass. Compared to a Washougal, LL's is not really a National pro caliber Track. Still stoked that DC pulled it off and we have a series to watch

Fuck me dead, I swear some of you wallabies are so sour you must have been breast fed from vinegar tits.

We got a different style of track, some good racing and a bit of a mix in the results.
Bring on next weekend!

Bit of a boring track to watch compared to Kegums.

Bring on the down votes.

It seems like I am one of the few that hold the unpopular opinion that this weekends racing was awesome. A lot of you are hung up on the fact that there wasn't any elevation change and ignoring that we got to see real motocross. Something that we haven't been able to witness for a number of years because MXSports didn't bulldoze every rutted section and corner between motos.

I would argue that LL's served up some of the best racing in the 450 class that we have seen in a long while. Musquin & Barcia came from mid pack to the front, guys in the front battled and faded, and both motos had unexpected winners.

Call me crazy but I'd like to see more racing like this past weekend. It reminded me of an early 2000s Unadilla where it wasn't about who kept it wide open the longest but also about technical skill to get through all of the ruts and breaking bumps.

The teams must not have hated it too much or round 2 would have been in Indiana instead of back at LL.

It was AWESOME. Makes me wish the venues changed on a yearly basis, but that's not very feasible.

I would like to ride ruts like that just once. Just to see how f-ing hard it really is to maintain a good pace.

I wouldnt make it two laps.
