ET3 did the exact same thing with Star. confirm SX, leave door open for outdoor. If Eli is winning races and competitive one would strongly suspect he will be racing outdoors next summer

I’ll say he gets fifth. I don’t see him beating Jett, Hunter, Deegan and Prado right now. I wouldn’t be surprised if he finishes behind Marchbanks too.

Agree with most - so stoked to see him back, and realistically he is a top 3 lock on a normal day, but I believe its unrealistic to expect that podium right away. Let's remember that he's had a very turbulent 3 or so months and actually has very, very limited race laps in that time. He's still not yet raced the KTM outdoors beyond qualifying and half a race lap at Pala. I argue a top 5 would be a solid result, then work forwards from there towards the last few races. Remember he had a terrible Milville last...

I think 6th-8th is realistic. The guy crashed out of his last two races on the first lap and probably has not been riding long. Crashes make you back it down some for a few races. It is just human nature to do so. Unless you are 19 years old.

I predict he takes it easy and slots in right between the top 3-4 and Marchbanks. 4th or 5th overall.

If Deegan had of been humble, then yes people would have paid more attention and given kudos to his results. Brought this upon himself.

Go look at photos of GP sand races. Even their tracks that aren't deep bottomless sand. Southwick just doesn't look very sandy and rough by comparison

I don't even know if SX is actually a disadvantage these days. The schedule and limiting time for setting up a bike? For sure, no doubt about that. But to me it feels like riding SX sharpens the skills even more. Prado rode SX in the 2023 off season and then did the first couple SX races after, so overall less MX prep than usual and he looked better than he ever did in 2024 MX. Sadly he is only a shadow of himself currently. But Tomac in 2015/2022, Kenny in 2014/2016, Ferrandis in 2021, Sexton in 2022-2024 and now...

Jett and Hunter are faster than Deegan right now , it's plain to see . There's no shame in it . I wish we could see where Sexton at his best and a healthy Eli fit in to this mix .

According to Ian Harrison there’s very little difference in the bikes apart from fuel spec and noise regs. Nonetheless the impressive part is them flying directly from Europe, riding a track they’ve never ridden, different race day format, and getting great results. Not going to read too much into a one off result, let’s see how Southwick and Ironman go, but they’ve certainly shown the potential to be front runners. This is as much a commentary on the US 250 class as it is on Sacha’s abilities but I think he would be the title favourite if he moved here...
