Him having a gnarly crash doesn't suddenly make me like him, no. I'm glad he's alright, but I've never been a fan of his personality. I don't hate him, just comes off as a person I wouldn't typically hang out with.

Are you Cooper Webb’s “Dylan” nut swinger?
2/25/2020 5:47am
Maybe if one day he untucks his ears from his hat I can start having a little bit of sympathy for him.
Love to see him back this week and I hope he wins a couple of races to make this a three horse race again.

Will this statement change when Savatgy lines up again? I’ve heard your dislike for him in more than a few rants on here.

I don’t hate the kid, but it’s hard to root for someone that comes across as a cocky arrogant prick.
My vote was a NO.

You don’t know Coop. And that is not how he is off camera.

If you truly knew him Off the track you would understand he is actually one of the more well thought out, caring riders. He has done a ton for me and his friends, as well as fans and people that have worked for him or with him.

His mom is a teacher and has kept him grounded since he was young. He’s naturally ultra competitive, clearly.

He is an entirely different person at home than you see on TV.

If you guys only knew how big of a dick guys like Dungey and Carmichael were behind the scenes. They just hid it better. All these guys have a level of selfishness and arrogance.
As a vet rider I don’t follow social media like most on here. In my limited use of it like this forum I haven’t seen anyone post anything about Dungey acting like a dick. If anything it’s the opposite & seriously doubt your statement.

Chad Reed's flyer at Milville (and him getting back on the bike) was the only crash that turned me from someone that never rooted for him to an instant fan.

Coop's little front flip was gnarly as fuck but that's not gonna make me forget him riding like a dick head whenever he beat Kroc who I am an unashamed super fan of.

Yes I'm not being objective but this is Vital, BRO.

I like Webb, I like when he rubs it in the other guys faces. I like the way he races and I like his attitude. I'm not a hater by any stretch. However, I don't think he's the best guy out there, I personally rank him somewhere 3rd-5th best when everyone is healthy.

A bad crash doesn’t make someone tough. I think he got really lucky not getting hurt. Glad he didn’t but there’s always been something about his personality that was dislikeable to me.

He sort of reminds me of Dungey though. Never blows you away with crazy speed or something like Stewart or Tomac but just really consistent and always there towards the top.

I think Dungey has the highest Supercross win percentage in history or something and I would have never guessed that.

"If you guys only knew how big of a dick guys like Dungey and Carmichael were behind the scenes."

Since 2012, Ryan Dungey has raised over $1 million dollars for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Yeah, that guy is such a dick. 🙄

I suppose it's all just a front to who he truly is as a human being.
That’s just it, he’s not a bad person at all. Neither is Cooper. But Dungey has burned some bridges in the industry and there are people who have had very bad interactions with him. He was a lot more naive and less headstrong than Cooper, especially in his early days and that came off less threatening to fans.

I recall everyone’s favorite villain Jason Lawrence making some hospital visits, donations and lending out bikes to guys like Blake Wharton. I think J-law suffers from mental illness, so he truly did do some shitty things and give a reason for people to dislike him. But even he, deep down, isn’t a bad guy.

I’ll say it again, most of you Vital members get a very small sample size of who these guys are. You’re catching them in their most vulnerable, hyped up state.

Relax, don’t take it all so personal and enjoy the heart and soul they put into their craft.

I have met Cooper twice. Once when he was still a kid on the Honda 150 and last Friday at North Texas KTM. He couldn’t have been nicer both times. I met Reed in 2002 and then did the VIP experience at Arlington last year. He was a very down to earth guy and Justin Hill spent half the day talking to me and my buddy who lost a leg riding not to long ago.
Ryan Dungey almost ran over me in the Pits in a golf cart at Daytona in 2010 and apologized profusely. He couldn’t have been nicer. I have also met MC, Pastrana, Stanton and RC. All nice guys. RC used to live on the same street as some of my wife’s best friends and they loved him. They used to cook out and drink beer with him all the time.
I dont think there is to many bad guys out there. Everybody has bad days. Even if some of the guys are Dicks, Who cares? Some of my best friends are assholes.

I respect Coopers drive and determination but I'm not a fan of his.

You can't do finger pistols at a guy across the finish line, then thank the man above and expect me to believe you are a good person. Pick a side already. Are you the hero or the villain?

When someone acts inauthentic it creates distrust. I think that is why you see haters on him. I think he should own his villain role and be who he really is. Same goes for Blake Baggett, at times I feel like he is trying to be the villain but in reality he is the nice guy.

I indeed don't really care for Joey all that much , but respect the dudes skills and love watching him ride. I like some riders more than other's for sure , for different reason's , but I don't " hate " any of them. Joey is super fast and awesome at what he does. Not sure how else to say it.

All good, I’ve never been a Savatgy fan myself nor Cooper Webb. With that said, there is no denying they are both bad asses on dirt cycles.

WoW, the point back at K-roc was bad huh? haha

You must be young because you must never have known about Bob Hurricane Hannah and the stuff he used to say about his fellow racers and do to them on the track. I was there and saw it live--the Massacre at Saddleback when he blatantly T-boned Kent Howerton (who was a really nice guy) even said he tried to break his freaking leg! Dry

But most people loved it because he was controversial and could back it up, much like Muhammad Ali, if you can walk the walk you can talk the talk!

As far as what you said about Adam you are wrong he said "he cracked, I didn't".

What else was he supposed to say when a mike was shoved in his face?
They had battled since they were on 80's and Adam received most of the attention from the Press and was touted to be the next big thing.
Btw I like Adam too, I just have always rooted for the underdog and have liked Cooper Webb since before he won his first championship and stated so on this board about it many years ago.

Not a damn thing in the 450 class. How many 250 champions in the 450 class right now that can’t even buy a podium. I promise you, Cooper is a one and done just like Anderson.

Fucking losers are only going to win 1 premier title 😂 After that? They will continue to make millions of dollars in salary and bonuses as they land on the podium and win races in the following years. Losers. Bums.

You do realize the only 2 guys that have a shot at winning the title (ET and KR) have had the same shot at winning SX titles but haven’t been able to close them, correct?

Imagine spending all day on a forum for the sport you “love”, yet spewing negative BS about it’s participants day after day. You know, the people who make up the show you sit your ass on the couch to watch every Saturday night, then the rest of the following days until next Saturday spouting your worthless opinions. Sad, miserable way to live. The definition of a keyboard warrior.

You’re a dork and you keep proving it over and over. Your meltdowns and constant attention whoring posts just continue to add to your legacy of retardation.

If you can’t win the MXdN what actually matters, you are still just an also ran on the world stage.

When he's on his corner speed and ability to turn under other riders is a thing of beauty.

I like Cooper because he’s gritty and rides with a ton of heart. There are other riders who are known to excel in one or two specific areas (starts, whoops, sprint speed, creative lines, etc.). Coop’s not GREAT at anything, but he’s good at everything. He’s not the best starter, he very rarely qualifies in the top 5 and for as many races as he wins, he leads very few laps. And yet, despite all of this, his unrivaled resiliency and determination has made him a champion.

How can you not love a guy like that?!
It is easy. He is a jerk He is not a genuine person. I would not want to hang out with him or spend any time with him. Compare him to AC or Mookie. Forget riding dirt bikes. I am talking about character. Those are genuine people. You would want to have a beer with them, and give each other sh**. Cooper...lol...no way.

At the beginning of the Season there was a poll on here if Cooper Webb could repeat as Champion.

I could not believe the haters come out of the woodwork.
In that thread I posted a picture of the Racer X cover with Cooper on it as Racer X Rider of the year. I don't remember who it was but somebody thought that it was a complete joke that he did not deserve it. Others thought he lucked into the championship, that he was not the fastest. 🤣

So after last week's horrendous crash in Dallas I must ask if any of the hate Club has changed their opinion of Cooper and the toughness and desire this kid has.

Who fucking cares.

I personally have never disliked a racer. Sure there are guys I hope win but it changes in many situations. I am in awe at the worst ranked rider as well as the top. The effort this sport takes especially at the pro level has my utmost respect. I just want to see close racing in the 50 class and the premier class. I love and respect dirtbike racing at every level. I feel very lucky to be involved in such an amazing sport. Cooper is an amazing dirtbike racer.

Yep the awful finger point was much worse than Bob Hannah openly stating he hated all his fellow Racers except a few and T-boned Kent Howerton and said he wanted to break his fuking leg!! Shocked

I think theres some TMZ drama behind the scenes with these two (besides Kennys takeout attempt). But yeah no for sure, to much butthurt.
