What’s odd about his situation is his biggest rival got hurt and he still can’t win titles. Its a wired era we are in when the two best riders of the time have not won a SX title.

The stupid meter is pegged at 10.... Yeah. Tomac sucks at sx... Who has the most sx wins in the current crop of rider's?? I hardly think you could say he sucks, rides dirty, etc. A bike malfunction and a couple of tip overs cost him a few titles. NOBODY here's knows why sometimes it seems like he's calling it. Could be bent bars, a tweaked subframe, or it could be him, who knows, but to say he's not a great sx rider shows how dumb some of the posters here are. And he's one of the cleanest rider's ever, he probably should've punted Webb, but he's got class and doesn't want to win that way. Bunch of fucking squids posting tonight
Yea, it’s the broken bikes that cost him all the championships, not the crashing 50% of the races.

Because he’s not even a contender. He’s a podium contender choke job. Eli is a winner contender choke job. And Marvin can’t doninate a random race like Eli can when the stars are aligned.

I think that’s why people like him. He can make everyone look like they are amateurs once or twice a year in supercross.

Eli certainly didn't choke. He just made a few mistakes along the way. Give the guy credit...he never gives up and he's always right there. But...like anything, you have to beat the other 21 guys on the gate. He only beat 20 this year.

Maybe they’re not the 2 best riders? Could the torch be, being passed to coop?

Strange how he went down in pretty much the exact same spot twice. In fact I think he said he hit the same tuf block the second time in his interview. He seemed in good spirits after the race anyway.

Dirty rider? This has to be stink bait.

He hasn't won the big one? Most of the world has crowned Herlings as the FMOTP, but he's never won a supercross race. (no, I'm not taking ANYTHING away from Herlings with that coment, it's purely to make a point about the comment) But Tomac has clearly been the best we have here outdoors, while also being, most of the time, the fastest guy at any given supercross race.

WTAF is wrong with people.....

Good to see all the usual suspects turn up in a Tomac thread. What's funny is the 2 races I've been to this year, Eli has gotten the biggest cheers during the rider intros, even slightly bigger than Kenny. He has made the last 3 seasons some of the most interesting in recent history, whether he wins a SX championship or not I see alot of people recognizing this and appreciating it.

If you can find a rider in the USA who tells you that their main goal in racing is something other than a 450 SX title you are talking to a lair.

Speed, talent, attitude, and luck. The guy that carries the most of those attributes throughout the season usually wins. A championship is certainly a praiseworthy feat but it doesn't mean the other racers suck. If all the other riders sucked the winner wouldn't have much to be proud of.

He is a choker. He does ride a little dirty but because a bunch of you love the taste of his nuts there is rarely an honest assessment of him.

He lost me when he choked at MXON on his 250 and cost us the title. But y'all do you and oeep thinking he walks on water. It's hilarious.
An honest assessment of him is that he’s one of the few elite riders that is capable of winning titles. That’s not deep throating him, it’s just not giving up on him because he didn’t win the MXoN on a 250. He didn’t cost “us” anything since last time I checked, none of us were part of the team.

trey canard comes to mind.

It’s Jesus, not jebus. The reason why posts like his get so many thumbs down is because there’s no need to bring the subject into this discuss because it opens doors for people like yourself to be disrespectful towards others beliefs.

"A couple of beast rides" doesn't earn you two back to back outdoor titles.

Choke? I saw four guys going for a win. Three who led and one of them pushing hard and had a couple falls and still came in third. I saw hard work and effort. Only one guy can win a race.

Tomac is one of the great riders of our time. He pushes the limits and makes very exciting races for us fans. My hat is off to him. Sure glad he is around. When you push for wins you will make mistakes. It does not mean he is a head case. I am glad he pushes. Love watching him ride.

Why people want to bash him is amazing to me. Would you rather he quit so he does not annoy you so much?

On top of being a great racer, he seems like a very good person. We should be happy he is out there for our entertainment.

Just can't wait to see if Webb can do anything outdoors. Also a healthy Zacho, healthy Marv, Anderson coming back, not sure about Ken, but the 450s might be as interesting as the 250s most year.
