Christian Craig said he couldn't keep up with him on Glenn helen on his 250f so that says something for sure.
Christian Craig better hang it up then!

We saw him ride at Glen Helen and he looked like he was the fastest guy on the track. I think it is cool no matter where he finishes. Good luck Kris!

I would be pumped if he scored a point or two but I think he’s going to finish around 25-30 on the day.

He’s fast, in shape and on a great bike but he is old and age can catch up to you no matter how fit you are.

30th at best IMO.
Agreed. 30-40 IF he makes the show.

Has he ever attempted a National? His only result on the Vault is a 20th in a regional SX 15 years ago....

He'd finish at the beer stand with the rest of us 40+'ers

I think I'll be at Pala so if you make the trip, I'll buy the beers!

100% chance he finishes 6-9 when the sprinkler system comes on.

People who don't think he will make the show, and don't think he can do a 30+2 are crazy. If you know Kris at all you know he is in great shape, and a very good rider (40+ or not). I did 2- 30+2 motos with him Saturday and his pace never changed.

I think he does well if he qualifies for the race on fitness alone (top 25, maybe top 20), but I have a hard time seeing him making it in. He's like 40, has a career, and a family. A lot of these guys qualifying for nationals are in their early 20s and don't give a crap if they wad it up and just send it everywhere. I think you guys are sleeping on the level of 450 pros more than Keefers ability to qualify.

I agree, but said 30th at best since I haven't seen Keefer ride lately. I ride locally with numerous guys that qualify for 450 Nationals and if Keefer can get in, I will be seriously impressed.

31-34, if he makes it. I do think it's a very cool story.

Keefer is cool and is obviously still fast, but he's essentially a 40 yr old rookie at that level. Best to temper expectations.

No offense to him - as he is a BAAAADDD DUDE on a dirtbike, ESPECIALLY for getting older. I don't know how his body holds together.

But I don't think he will make the fast 40

Keefer has somehow kept himself together pretty well, he typically rides 5 days straight, with more than an hour and a half of actual ride time on each day. Making the top 40 on pure speed will be the difficulty, fitness isn't much of a problem.

Yep - agreed

It's hard to throw down a heater vs this 20 year olds with no kids and no job

But, I hope he makes it in. That would be bad ass

Thought he was okay with mud moto's but wasn't super excited about them like some others.

He's good with them as long as he doesn't get covered in mud.

Am I the only one that is hoping he qualifies for both nationals. He said he's doing it for his kid. My son thinks im awesome for racing locally I can't imagine if I told him I am going to do a Pro National. I have so much respect for Kris for putting himself out there and going for it. When they made the announcement I immediately was super pumped for him. Face it 98% of us on here would walk around with our junk out if we went 40-40 at a national.

I have a lot of respect for Keefer and what he does. He's helped me out a bunch with dialing a few bikes in, but I really don't get why he's doing this and don't see it going well. Does anyone remember when Ryno made his "comeback"? it didn't go well...
