It's just me or Emig sounds harder on Tomac's "mental mistakes" than on other riders' mistakes. I wouldn't bring this but because Kawi fired Emig back in the days I find a potential unconscious resentment there that makes him emphasize on these "mental mistakes" of the green rider.

You realize since him being "fired" and today that Jeff spent a lot of years working for Kawi as a brand ambassador right?

The only reason he'd be harder on Tomac is because he holds him to the highest standard because Eli is an elite level talent who has accomplished more than most; but his mistakes have also cost him a lot as well.

Opening night jitters for Emig... more noticeable because of his lifelong speech impediment.
RC was RC.. I've never seen a smooth, coherent RC segment
Interesting that Ralph introduced RC as the GOAT again, saying 5 time Champion.., then they did an McGrath segment soon after introducing him as a 7 time Champion.

Rick Johnson would be a great addition to the announcing team.

My two cents on this topic...

SHOW SOME RESPECT or be quiet, your words carry weight even though you are invisible behind your keyboard, think before you type. Both Ralph and Jeff are doing a good job.

Unless you have a positive suggestion to improve the broadcast??

Thats all i got on this one.

I vote for Ping and Matthes in the booth and David Izer on the floor.

Isn't that how the end of his racing career ended?
The end ended? And who is high here?

History cannot count the number of people who are famous or in the spotlight who needed a bit of one of nature's remedies. Ever hear of Winston Churchill? He drank at least a pint of brandy per day. Small list of functioning alcoholics:

Vincent Van Gogh. Dutch painter. ...
Stephen King. American writer. ...
Alexander the Great. Macedonian King. ...
Leonard Nimoy. American actor. ...
Betty Ford. American First Lady. ...
Buzz Aldrin. American astronaut. ...
Ernest Hemingway. American writer. ...
Elizabeth Taylor. American actress.

A few famous and successful weed smokers:

Brian Cranston
Sarah Palin
Oliver Stone
Conan O'Brien
John Hickenlooper
Lincoln Chafee
Martha Stewart
Michael Phelps

I have an uncle now retired who was one of the top eye surgeons in the world and who smoked every so often. I suspect the list of well know people who do or have is vast but conceal it due to the stigma.

Most anti-smoking medications (Chantix, etc.) are actually anti-depressants that were re-purposed to be anti-smoking medicines. They bind to the same receptor sites in the brain cells that nicotine does. Nicotine (smoking) is actually self-medicating for depression.

Alcohol, cannabis, nicotine, mushrooms, opiates, etc. have been a part of human history as long as long as there have been humans. Thus endeth the lesson.
Lincoln Chafee. Didn't see that coming. He is from Rhode Island like me. He ran for presidency and his platform was metric system. He realized later that was a mistake. Now wants to be governor. Was a senator and a mayor and a millionaire. Nice guy but what a goof.

I remember hearing that Jeff's dad was doing a lot of tinkering with those factory motors. That also might have had a little to do with his exit at kawi.

I think Jeff does fine in the booth,

Leave jeff alone, dude is trying to make a living. The man has come a long way from his stutter issue.
seriously - the dude came on here, a multi time Champion, and did an ask me anything segment with all the vitard keyboard warriors - and from what I could see, he was very gracious and glad to do it. some of you people, jeez - get a life. Emig is a Champion and seems like a good person. Find more useful shite to gossip about

Huge fan of Emig, he is doing a great job. Agree with others that RC doesn't add much if anything on camera though.

Yes I'll take Fro over Ricky any day. Ricky's last segment before the main was practically incoherent. He looked like a deer in the headlights. Truly cringe-worthy. He might be the goat but he's no announcer. Please make it stop.
Ricky is great in the booth explaining what the riders are doing and what strategies they're employing.

He's just not so great at reading off the cue cards.

Motocrossers aren't known for their intellectual abilities. Just let Ricky say whatever he wants and it'll be fine.

Emig and Ralph did an acceptable job in the booth. They're always rusty at A1. They always get better.

The camera work was annoying. Every time you hear the crowd roaring but they're showing a replay or just the leader or something is mega irritating. I wanna see the action.

I never really noticed Jeff being off enough to think there was a problem. People looking to gossip creates voids for all sorts of banter.

Emig is one cool cat in my book. I also think he does a great job in the booth. Christ......he spoke way smoother than RC did , and RC never had a stuttering problem. Rock on Fro!

P.S. I'l take Jeff and Ricky any day over some seasoned broadcaster that doesn't really know shit about moto. Who really cares if either stumbles every once and a while.

Probably just expects Ralph to interrupt him 3 words in as per usual. That'd make anyone gunshy.
