I’ve noticed that all fuel injected 2 strokes don’t sound right since they first came out. It’s like there’s a rag stuffed in the airbox and it can’t breath. Carson Brown recently posted a video of him riding a bike that came fuel injected, but had a carb conversion kit put on it. I think it was a KTM 150 and it sounded amazing. Very barky and crisp. I believe these conversion kits are for sale. I hope I’m wrong, but this new KX327 sounds like a stifled piece of junk.

I was thinking the same thing after watching the previous videos. When under load it doesn’t rev into the top of the rpm range, indicating the power goes flat up top like you mentioned. Axell was riding it like a 250F. I have to admit it sounded better than the earlier videos, but now that you mention it, it’s not under much load on Axell’s track. Stoked to hear it rev a bit, but my money is still on it being a midrange motor that goes flat on top. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Just an observation.

Not going to lie, wouldn't mind a Keihin instead of Fuel injection. Either way, hats off to Kawasaki. Now if we can get Suzuki to re-release the 08 RM 250's or even a modern version.

I am sure it is a good bike. I have ridden 2 strokes for 58 years, from 125cc to 500cc, and honestly that is definitely the worst sounding big bore 2 stroke that I have ever heard. It sounds more like a 150cc.. not a big bore, especially when it is rev'd out. Sounds like it flattens out very fast. I am also sure that every guy that has put down their downpayment is hating my post, but it is a 2 stroke, so it should be easily fixable, aside from the fuel injection which will require sending the ECU...

So, back to the pipe, I’m sure Pro Curcuit, FMF, and the others are already getting dimensions and getting a pipe ready for this one. Like I say, I think this bike is gonna do well with mods - ecu, pipe, head, etc is gonna unlock this thing.

This is off the OP’s topic but it’s the first time I’ve seen it mentioned and I’m interested. I had a KTM 200SX. The stock pipe was great and the only aftermarket pipe that was close was Doma. Eventually you had a hard time finding either. A friend that worked for KTM USA gave me a pipe that measured exactly as a stock 200SX pipe in every way, except it was made of a thicker gauge of steel. It made the bike run like a turf. Not trying to be a smartass but I dont think this is entirely true thinking of keeping correct heat in the pipe, resonance reasons (pipe wall actually flexing with exhaust pulses and muffler packing thickness) BUT for the average guy, this will very likely not matter at all. A pipe/muffler engineer from the 500cc 2-stroke roadracing era could tell more… or Mitch…

That’s why it needs mods - mapping, ecu, pipe silencer, porting head mods, intake, etc. Maybe even a big bore kit to punch it up to 350-360. 😎

I think coop is pissed and sees it as dirty because he gave deegan room to go through on the inside and deegan made contact anyways. Coop even said Deegs was faster in his interview. Coop definitely didnt block off the inside and Coop definitely knows how to. The way the 38 kept looking back at Prado, before he dumped it in the sand, he was getting ready to pull his patented block passing/stopping bullshit on him, just like Shimoda last year. Deegan already got everything he could from Coop with coaching and setup. Nothing left to gain, so burn the fake friendship, that way Coop will go away. That’s why Coop was so mad. It wasn’t the pass, it was that he knew he’d been used.
