Regional titles are just that though.

250 Nationals is a major.

DV is a bad ass. Barcia is a little bitch. Opps did I say that?

I wouldn't be surprised if something did come out of this, not predicting it will at all but Barcia said himself he's not where he wants to be in his racing. I know DV doesn't need him, but surely he recognizes the potential to be apart of a very successful team. I would say Barcia's definitely on par with anyone in potential, we saw what he could do when he was on last year.

Did this arise after something on the pulp show? I know barcia mentioned it in one of the tweets...But I did not see a pulp show for this week.

You can clearly judge a man by how he treats someone that can do him no good. Or some shit like that.

I'm going to disagree with you here. This is a place, or a community, where I come to share the passion of motocross as a fan and as a participant for the vast majority of my life. I love to bench race, find out about hot set ups, and to learn from some pretty smart dudes. Social media does find its way into Vital, but I am not part of it outside these walls. I have a facebook account that I use once every 6 months, no twitter, no instagram, or anything else.

You say tomato, tomhato. Its okay, we can agree to disagree on what Vital is or is not. One thing is for certain-I'm not going to tweet about it!

At first I thought Barcia was being a prick, then I kept reading and I think he was being genuine. I sincerely hope Barcia gets some of DVs coaching, his style and straight forward personality could really help him. It's all probably a pipe dream, but my view from the cheap seats thinks it could be cool.

Agree completely. Reading between the lines it looks like Justin is truly looking for help. Hope DV takes him up on it. They could be a great team...who knows?

Despite how arrogant as he is on the show, I honestly I think DV is usually right. As in, If Barcia smoothed it out he could be competing up front. I think DV gets so fired up only because JB has "it" and doesn't deliver.

I like the 350 idea!!! And both the french and Barcia are arrogant, the bro-mance wouldnt last. And why are the frenchies so smooth and have impeccable line choices, does it have to do with being arrogant? JMB, Pichon, Roncada, CP337, Tortelli, DV, Moosecan, who else?

Yes Becase DV is suddenly the almighty god of smoothness on a dirtbike. If it were that easy, Strijbos and Seewer would be world champions.

How about some humility to start with.. "There's not many coaches better than me"..."it's about knowledge and intelligence"......

Not to discredit DV's accomplishments, but I'm not sure I would ever hear those words coming out of the mouths of the actual greats of our sport.

This thread reminded me of this. Roncada was such a bad dude and he took it like a disobedient dog or something lol.

Dude, DV beat all of the modern greats more than a few times and he certainly didn't do it by grinding them into dust. He was a massively technical rider.

Go watch Chiz early 2011 SX before he got injured. Look at that improvement. That was DV working with him.

And, if I could be assed, there was a RC interview not even a month ago where he basically said he's great at helping riders with their riding...

pretty 'funny' how all the haters jump right on it. I don't see any cockiness from barcia's post. I think he really wants help, believe it or not, barcia wants to win and works very hard to do so. he hasn't given up like some and still thinks top 5 isn't where he's supposed to be. I like how he is still trying to become a better athlete and not settling for the best of the rest. will he win ever another title? who knows, but you can't blame him for not showing up ready and fit.

False humility is as bad as arrogance. If you are good at something you should say so.

I remember when DV was riding and DB was always saying he could help with his technique and it lasted... Not very long if I'm correct.

I can't get over how DV thinks that cutting your bars helps reduce head shake though. Seems ass backwards.

Social media tends to amplify the arrogance, doucheness & immaturity of a lot of people...especially competitive people with massive egos. This exchange, posted for all the world to see did not do either one of these guys any big favors. Same goes for guys like Roczen, who is probably a pretty cool guy...but comes off as a cocky rich kid in a lot of his SM dallyings.

Yeah, DV12's got a big mouth...but he can back up all he says farther than Barcia. If I were JB, I'd quietly meet with David a few times at some private (JGR) tracks & see if what the man preaches works better for him. If it doesn't...blow him off and go with what you know instead.

"Immature adults often lack integrity and may behave like they are empty inside. They may have little idea of who they are - although they always know what they need. Not only are they confused about who they are, they are confused about who you are. And if you allow yourself to become entangled with them, you may feel just as confused."

I am with you Dirtnapper, I dont have any Social Media accounts, nor does anyone in my household, including my wife and two teenage daughters. We are happy and doing just fine without it. I do miss out on some Facebook pages for local tracks and riding events, but I get updated by visiting my local dealer and tracks regularly and from other people in the know, the same we did it for years before Social Media.

The reality is that 125/250/lites whatever it has been over the years, is split into regional coasts. Do 125/lites sx titles count for the greats like RC, Reed, RV, I think so.

It's just a way to discredit riders that people don't like "O sure, he has a regional title, that's it". Then on the other hand when they like a rider it's more like "he's a past champion, he deserves a ride!"
