My dad got us killer seats at Oakland SX in 2014. Stew and Chad sized up a quad possibility during practice and I snapped a pic. They both started hitting the quad late in the main event. James used it to get the best of Chad. Podium for both. Awesome for me.

10/5/2020 6:03pm His mechanic was 100% hiding the clutch lever from the TV camera with his arm when Eli handed off the bike under the tent. The camera operator was clearly trying to get the shot and they weren't having it. I don't know why they would do that, but it happened.

That is definitely a valid subject to look at. Equally valid is to look at upholding the values that the founding fathers knew were so important they were written into the bill of rights. Almost all of the first 10 amendments are intended to limit the power of the police to make decisions on the spot because that can be such a slippery slope. Decisions of punishment were relegated to the court system. Relatedly, with the technology available today, there should be mandatory video when serving a search warrant because that is a planned event that can go sideways in...

9/30/2020 12:07am Hold on, do people actually dip the wings in? I’ve never done that, and that sounds phucking sickening. For the celery? Either one, they’re both about the same to me.

9/28/2020 12:37am Thanks for the kind words everyone. Rode with this dude damn near every weekend for the last 15 years, last 3 virtually through his go pros and group text as I moved away. Our regular crew was always 8 to 10 strong. He was 52 and a very consistant and conservative rider but got around well. His accident and the severity of his injuries don’t make sense. No one saw it as he was in the back side of the track early in the day. Feel aweful for my friends and uncle that were there trying to save his life...

9/28/2020 12:15am The choice is almost always made by the rider about whether or not to stay on the track. But if you have to leave the track at any point other than the designated mechanic's lane, then it should be a DNF. That sounds like common sense, but I guess it isn't as common as I would like to think. If you cut any portion of a track, then you almost by definition gain an advantage over whether you had to complete that section, so by not riding the track and instead taking the "smoother" way to the mechanic's area is...

9/28/2020 12:11am By this logic it would have been okay for Osborne last week to pull off the track at the bottom of mount Martin and cut straight across to pit lane and get his front wheel changed. He would’ve still lost about 30 seconds so he’s still losing time, but a wheel change should cost you at least a minute to a minute and half compared to everyone else on the track. It doesn’t matter that you lost time compared to where you were. You didn’t lose as much time as you should’ve done. So you still gain an advantage

9/28/2020 12:10am No, he was supposed to ride the track back to the mechanics area, like every normal racer would do at every race, everywhere else in the fucking world. Then you fix the bike, then you carry on. And if the bike doesnt get you there, we call that a DNF.

7/14/2020 3:07pm Surely a bunch of motocrossers can understand the desire to have what is not absolutely needed. Every cyclist has different motivations, but they are probably trying to achieve certain times or average speeds. Sure more drag makes the work out a bit harder, but does that mean they should wear a back pack full of bricks too? Also, like any sport fashion plays a role, I personally think a pair of baggy shorts and a big t shirt looks stupid on a nice road bike. Cyclists are influenced by the pros, just like we are.
