So, I've been trying to listen to the podcasts that James has been putting out and I just can't listen without cringing. The dude was probably the best to ever throw a leg over a bike, but listening to him is painful and almost embarrassing. His analysis is pretty good, but he gets going on these weird tangents and it's gets really awkward. I know he is a dirt biker and not an English teacher but good god. Saying things like "one lineded" is terrible. The lastest one (Washougal rewind) he goes on this little tangent about going to the far east to get west, rambling on and on about Shimoda and the Lawrence bros. It just doesn't make sense and is hard to listen to. I know no one is forcing me to listen, and I'll probably catch flack for making this post, but I cant possibly be the only one who notices this stuff. James would be well served to have a co-host that does the majority of the talking and have James do the stuff he is good at (insight, analysis, etc.)

The tangents are weird in the audio only format but when I watched it on YouTube it made it better somehow.
The dude is homeschooled in the dumbest state of the country, what do you expect, a calculus lesson?

Ive noticed when Roger is on, stew seems more focused and not all over the place.

Hit it Cole

The problem isn’t the rants. It’s the fact that he thinks said rants are cool and funny when they clearly aren’t. It’s not just his podcast. He had some podium interviews that were a little awkward in his days as well.

I don't mean any offense but you're being way too critical. If you don't like it, don't watch it. I see your point about some things being a little cringe worthy and goofy but it's his show, James being James. Think of how often people say how cookie cutter, boring and scripted all the riders are during interviews. They are like robots programed from the factories on what to say and that's not good for the sport. Bubba's World is a breathe of fresh air. Hopefully it can encourage the current racers to come out of their shells a bit.

If you want to grow fans in this sport it's going to need a little more drama and a story line to follow. It needs more rivalry like J-law and RV. The good vs. bad. The serious guy vs. the guy who has a fondness to donuts. Fans follow the person. Without the story line it's just just bunch of bikes doing laps. It means nothing to a spectator. It doesn't matter who wins or loses if you aren't cheering for someone. I have guys I want to see win and guys I want to see lose. I don't cheer for Eli Tomac because #3 is my lucky number. I cheer because I'm his fan.

I think the factories and sponsors squash kids personalities from early on. That sucks IMO. I wish the best for James and hope he is successful with his show.

Oh James we wish you would give us interviews and not disappear. The people love you and wish you were back....

OMG James you're so cringy, I hate your podcast and you being yourself...lol Pound sand.

What compelled you to create a post just to air your dumb ass condescending opinion. You can have a thought, and not post it on Vital ya know...

All everyone wanted for years, was for James to come out of the shadows, and be a part of the community again... Let's not try to send him back. Your opinion on this matter is yours, and it matters. (TO YOU)
The rest of us understand James will never be a college professor... NOR DO WE WANT HIM TO BE! Keep doin you James. We will pay attention, and appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

Im just stoked James has kept up and been consistent with his shows. He’s a character, on top of being the most insane man to throw a leg over a dirt bike. James obviously isn’t going to change for anyone. He’s only going to get more weird the more comfortable he gets with his podcast style. Best stop listening now if you can’t handle JS7.

Dude is still pinned and loose. Can’t ask for much more than that, other than maybe more Bubba/Jbone stories!

I love his style, his rants, his random remarks, and his insight. He's not a news anchor, he's the best dude to ever ride a dirt bike, and he's a fun and nice person. Geez, just enjoy someone being real and giving us great, free, content about the sport we love.

And whatnots 🤷🏼 Flame away but I couldn't make it either. When he is just talking about the race and bike set up etc. it’s great. When he tries to be super funny and just goes on a ramble inventing words, I’m out. 😂 finger burn, post on 🔥. ( I do chuckle at his nicknames. Mr coffee, german chocolate)

I love that a dude tried to hate on a legend and Vital is chewing him up. James has earned the right to do whatever he wants how he wants within the walls of this sport. You, OP, have not. So don’t comment.

I think it's great and he is just being himself, having fun, and also offering some great insight. If RC would do this in the broadcast it would be incredible. The difference is RC is trying to be a "pro" and it makes him seem less credible and real IMO The neck burn thing was funny as hell the first time he said it and now it's kind of a staple of his show. His interviews with Davey and J bone were as real as it gets. We ask for what these guys ACTUALLY think and what actually happened....and he is giving that to us which I think is awesome.

Exactly. Championships matter. That, and consistency without crashing nearly every weekend😉

I was hesitant to listen it, but Im hooked!

I love it!!! He said he used to no talk at all and was so serious about racing and now he is talking!! we should listen! haha and seems like he is having a good time while at it.

I have a good laugh every time, and the one with jeremy was pretty good, the anecdotes were great.

I heard a theory that says funny people usually are smart ´cause the fast thinking and such... and the bitter people don´t like funny people because they are dumb and jelaous because they are not like that hahaha

His podcast has all the ingredients, good insight, funny, creative (the nicknames) and of course

SUN TAN, NECKS ON FIRE
