You and I know each other fairly well. I'm not sure if you remember but awhile back you were in a tough spot and I even helped you out (just a very small amount that I could help). I love my home state; but, I’ve already began the process of removing assets. The recent “redistricting” will only further their insane redistribution of truth and wealth. Well, they won’t have mine. I won’t be “retiring” in California. Also, I’ll be retaining one 1 Cali real estate asset…by the beach…’cause I’m worth it…and my wife loves it. And even that will belong to an out of state entity and be used as a vacay spot. No state income tax in my future. Lower sales tax in my future. Lower real estate expenses in my future. C’est l’vie.

Boom you need to stop with this nonsense talk of yours. I can honestly say in my 67 years of being on this planet, nothing has been more painful than losing my loving Wife. Then to top it off, I lost my favorite dog Bailey as well in a 12 month span. This house is depressing without them, I don't even like being in it anymore as I have lost all motivation in keeping it up, my to-do list is off the charts, but I just can't get out of this funk 17 months later after losing Jan. 😢 And...

Ted, you know you can't change her name. Right? It's bad juju. It's a great name in my opinion BTW. My first Laser was used. It was called "Aquaholic". I was 14 years old, and the stiffs at the yacht club thought it was appalling that a child was racing a boat with such a name. We ( my Dad and me) pretty much said "piss off", and the next year Dad made Commadore.... So Fuckem.

You familiar with Kebin Kinsley? Yeah, he's a buddy of mine who pretty much pioneered the capsule. He started buying scrap F-16 canopies from the place where I worked that made them. Tex-Star! Hahahaha!

Talk to your family doctor. I'm sure they can help you get help. See a psychiatrist. Putting a permanent end to a temporary situation is not worth it. Trust me. I've been there. It does get better. It doesn't happen overnight, but things do change for the better. Go for a walk. See a friend. Talk to someone, anyone that's willing to listen. Keeping your feelings bottled up inside is not a good thing and is not doing you any favors. You'd be surprised how good it feels to talk to someone about it. Sometimes it's easier to talk to...

Awesome thread. Thanks for reviving it. Sorry about your dad. Pretty sure he's right by your side all the time. My brother in law restores old Rogers boats and they race competitive jet series (APBA). Mostly my nephew was driving the last few seasons they raced. My nephew held the #1 plate for several years. I know completely different discipline but also a huge adrenaline rush. Have fun brother. TM
