Probably because he is easily 10x the rider you, me or anyone else on this board has ever been or ever will be. Also, he has 3 things neither you nor I have...2 SX championships and a outdoor MX championship.

Aside from that, CR22 has the social media thing wired....all that guy has to do is point to his social media accounts and say "look how many people I reach"....and bikes and parts materialize on his doorstep. Dude gets a ton of press!
Also, if I'm not mistaken, MX/SX team funding comes out of the PR budget for the manufacturers, and Reed gets people interested. And now that he's older, sometimes it's even more ridiculous. Announcers talking about the old man keeping up with the young guys.....

His contract with Yamaha expired July 31. He is once again a free agent and a big pickup for any team...longest autograph line in the pits and a potential podium guy in SX (still). Matthes mentioned we would likely see him testing both KTMs and Zooks in the coming weeks as he attempts to finalize a deal with either Red Bull/KTM or JGR.

Not a Honda. What it is I don't know. My guess KTM. Two 450 spots to fill on Suzuki and I don't think Reed is one of them. But he could run blocker for Musquin.

Doesn't rbktm have a factory edition they will use for next year, and jgr doesn't have the new bikes built yet so is Chad just making his descision from the 17s then?

Hah, there was a caller on pulp recently from Aus and said Reed was an asswipe when they met him. Said he had a bad day and shunned everyone them came blasting thru the staging area after coming off the track. Anyway, carry on.

Thats a yami. Box swingarm, pointed rear fender and dark under rear. Ktms are very obvious from the back. That orange just glows.

Reeds going to Factory KTM.

Musquin- Title contender/race winner

Tickle- Solid top 10 guy. Outdoors he can get top 5s and occasional podium.

Reed- Has the ability to get on the podium at any given night/ maybe just maybe get a win. And all else fails hes a top 10 guy.

I think Roger sees the benefit of having Reed, he can maybe get the bike on the podium and he'll be able to get the bugs out of a all new model.

I was there and helped out.
It's an '08--16RMZ chassis, 400 Cylcone engine, dual exhaust(of course, bc extra parts/weight & expense is what MX is about amiright?), standard bars w/dual clutch levers (non-hydraulic bc we used up the money on those tail pipes), cruise control( air leak/lean is mean, yeah?), great big swingarm by Billings legends Peterson family. KTM silly front fender.
Reed in 2018!!!

I was a big fan when he had his own team for those 1 or 2 years, then it seemed to go downhill from there. dude is so full of himself.

If he doesn't find motivation and fight from mirror we will see some good 10th place results and other nights top 15.
Maybe those other guys should step it up if they "deserve" a factory spot over him, or get a fan base like he has. Theres a reason that factory teams keep hiring him, he still has potential to be on the podium on any given night.
