I'm about 80% sure you can get stock fork sliders from a 1996-2001 YZ125 to work. (Check to make sure the bolt holes are the same, but I think they are.) You would need to modify the two plastic hooks at the top by removing the bottom one completely, and drilling the other one (the top one) to accept the bolts from the metal clamp at the bottom of your fork. I did this mod to my '97 so I could run a CR-style brake line.

You need the mounting area to be thinner on the newer footpegs. If you compare the old vs new side by side you will see what I mean. I just used an angle grinder.

Chad has requested a hold on the #22 for AMA Racing in 2023. I think there's a chance you see Chad do at least one US Supercross to become the first rider over 40 to make a main.

Stock foot pegs were rough as well. Ended up grinding the stock pegs up from my 2020 YZ450F and putting them on. Feels much better at least on the stand.

We had gone so long already I had to scratch a few things off the list. So many stories.

A guy I thought was gonna make it was Johner Kight. He had a Honda support ride in 83 &84, crashed real hard at the saddleback national and was dead for a few minutes. He was never the same rider after that. The one thing that kid had was a ton of heart. Steve Schmitz was super fast, thought he was gonna make it. Tim Locey 6 in the 500 nationals one year. Juan Benevidaz Then you had the local Indian Dunes wild man, Bobby Kline, he was super fast on a friday night and was horribly scary to pass.
