Yeah. Haven't been able to find anyone who knows where he is. I'm near Marysville, so figured I'd try to re-connect. Thanks though.

David Harrison. Circa '80-'81 Had the dedication. Had the Speed and the Smarts

Work related injury cut his career short.

Now he's a nationally ranked wheelchair tennis pro and Murderball player.

He's a Great guy!

Mark Lawrence was pretty good too with Gambetta.

DG Dave Taylor thought would be top 125 guy. Eropkin was real good too.

Wayne Boyer. Can't remember if he was full fac. Suz. or a support rider. Another good one.

A new kid I thought might be good was that Jesse Masterpool....dunno if still racing, but use to see name in World Mini or Ponca/LL results. Know he should be 11 or 12 now.
dude masterpool past away in march...R.I.P buddy

Yeah, Kiel was pretty fast...I heard he got it from his brother, Taylor Jones...He was #708. I remember when spoded it up off of the finish line table top at Jolly Roger and got a concusion. He thought the president was George Clinton, haha!

Joe Wright from Idaho. Raced 2 yrs in NorCal and was real fast. Could beat Holley/Vohland.
Jesse Ketcham, NorCal mini. Got hurt too much. Diced with Racine, Mitchell and Jeff Northrup.
Casey Johnsons brother Jason. More natural talent than Casey.
Shawn Wooten.
Mike Stanton. Smooth as silk.
Adam Gallegos.
Pat Wilson; thought he'd get to the promised land.
Mikey Pascarella. Rusty Holland.
Jesse Ketcham was the fastest kid I have ever seen on a 80cc Machine. I watched him at Hangtown in 1994 inbetween my own 125cc Intermediate Motos and I couldn't believe how fast he was and how high in the RPM range his RM80 was screaming. Funny thing is he got 2nd that day. I to this day couldn't tell you who won. To the day I die though I will never forget how fast Jesse Ketcham was that day.

We have video of Chris considine in 1990 on 60's racing sella ds and Carmichael for the win at lorettas, he went wide and he rest is history. I grew up across the woods from Chris, spent many days riding with him. Chris was a product of a broken home. Kid was amazingly fast but had parents who had their own agendas and ruined what he could have been. It makes me sad to think that he was as fast as he was and it was cut short buy parents inability to be adults. That kid slammed on wey, maximoff etc...Dave Mack was involved with his guiding if I rmember right. The good ol proffer days as well as vents goggles. Michigan mafia historia!

Wow, My first post in this thread was almost six years ago. Back in 88 both my sons were racing in some big race at Lake Whitney, Texas. We pitted all week beside a Kawasaki rider named Dennis Hawthorn. After watching Dennis ride I just knew he was going to be BIG someday. I never heard much about him after that race but I'll always remember how fast he was.

Feist never won 250A at LL's. And being a decade older than Larocco, didn't really race the same class. Feist was fast in early 80's but larocco was little kid then who didn't turn expert/A class til 1986 and pro til 88. The local races I saw in 86/87 Larocco's only competition was greg bowen, stanton, dehoop and feist was never even close to this group.

I grew up in Oklahoma in the 80's around Tulsa. K&N Yamaha had a kid I went to school with named Brian Roe, aside from racing Kevin Windham as a kid, Brian was the fastest kid I got to go against on a track. He was a regular at Ponca City, Bixby's Allen Ranch Mx was our local track. When i moved to Mississippi in 1990, we had KDub hitting our locals on his KX80, but our local Johnny Overby was lights out fast. He was climbing the ladder toward a real ride and broke his neck in a whoops section in 91. He stopped riding for a decade. Came back amd it was like he never skipped a beat. Still lights out fast.

Todd Bennick from North Carolina. He had a few top tens in 125ESX around 92-93. I heard that he married a preachers daughter and no more weekend racing. I could be way off here, but that was the story that was going around. Either way, dude still rips. Also, his son Daxton rides for Orange Brigade KTM on 50-65s and already has a Lorettas title.

Keith Watson, houma louisiana by way of tallahassee florida. the original tallahassee flash. Keith was james stewart fast and i thought he had some yamaha support back in the early 80's.

Keith was tragically killed at Hattiesburg Mx park in mississippi in 1981
I was there that Sunday Keith Watson died. I won the 80cc class and my brother Barry Weinberger was racing pro class against Keith Watson. Keith Watson was winning once again the first and second Moto but then lost control in the second Moto and went off the track and hit a tree that killed him instantly. We were all in shock and couldn’t believe it. Keith Watson was the fastest rider at the time from our region the south east Mississippi Louisiana and Alabama areas. I remember 1980-1981 Keith Watson started beating factory riders at the Florida gatorback pro winter series Nationals finishing second on his stock Yamaha YZ 125 right there with Mark Barnett and Johnny O Mara we were freaking out and excited to see him to start competing at a world class level. Keith Watson was world class fast and smooth and was definitely going to earn a factory sponsor if that tragedy didn’t happen. RIP and god bless!
