Smith246 Added a reply to 250 2t vs 350 vs 450
6/4/2024 6:27pm I had a 23 300sx and did not care for it at all. Many in my area also felt the same, we all bought into the media hype and had to have one but pretty much everyone sold them within 10hrs and went back to 350's or 450's. For pure moto 350 over the 300sx all day.

6/4/2024 5:47pm 350 is the bike to have if you wanna get maximum seat time. If you can afford it I'd say keep the yz250 and add a 350 aswell.

6/4/2024 5:36pm I think it has alot to do with with fast revving very responsive nature of the 350 engine that makes the bike feel so light. I'd say my kx450 actually has less engine braking than my 350 but because the 450 is alot slower revving feels so much heavier. I go back to back on them all the time just...

6/4/2024 4:12pm From what I saw after taking my muffler apart, the baffle is far more restrictive than the screens. I bet it will make a bigger difference.

6/3/2024 9:20pm I can't remember if that's one I made or someone else's. I tried alot of different maps but actually ended up back at stock. Stock mapping, Ti6 exhaust, opened airbox, 51 tooth rear and good fuel and the thing runs sweet. Best 450 I've ever ridden. More than enough power to pull 3rd everywhere and not too aggressive for when...

6/3/2024 8:27pm Once the bike is connected tap the button in the red circle at the top of the screen. It will be sent to whichever map you have selected at that time. Either light on or light off. I am led to believe if you send it to map 1(light off) it will be exactly as you have made your map...

6/3/2024 7:41pm I have been back and forth with 350's and 450's for the last few years and currently own both, a 23 350sxf and a 24 kx450. And while I think it mainly depends what sort of rider you are as to which is better for you, I honestly think most people would be better/safer and probably faster on a 350...

6/2/2024 5:58pm You will also get a gain from removing the end cap and cutting out the baffle.
Luxon MX Liked a reply to forum topic 2025 Honda-improved rigidity balance. What does it really mean, will 23 parts fit.
6/1/2024 5:01pm Improved rigidity balance is meaningless marketing speak. Here's some more of the points they use and what the marketing department really means: Updated main frame constructed of 70% new components to optimize rigidity and improve handling characteristics. (We changed a bunch of stuff on the frame and it has a different stiffness now.) An 8% increase in torsional rigidity improves overall stability, while a 5% increase in the torsional/lateral rigidity ratio allows for precision cornering. Vertical torsional rigidity is increased by 4%, enhancing stability in rough track conditions. (If we use percentages, the word "ratio", and a lot of different...

5/31/2024 4:05pm Not being rude but just wondering have you actually spent much time on a 350?

5/31/2024 3:16am Saw a 24 SXF 450 listed for $7999 at Ridersville, while the 350 is only discounted to $9599. Demand for the 350 no doubt dictates the difference, they never seem to hit blowout 450 prices. There’s a huge market for the 350 but it seems the Japanese will never admit it. Shame.

5/30/2024 11:49pm Yeah I'm definitely an over thinker ha ha. If I lived near someone I trusted to do the work I probably would. Will wait a try the new 25 ktm frame first. And I also agree, the big 4 will never make 350's, just wishful thinking.

5/30/2024 10:49pm While I completely agree with what you are saying and can see this is the thought process behind the manufacturers. I just wish they would care a little less about there bottom dollar and a little more about what the consumer wants (350's and 2 strokes ha ha). It would be a safe bet to say only a small percentage...

5/30/2024 9:11pm I agree. And it's not like they have to redesign a whole new bike either. The 250/450 already share most, maybe all parts besides the engine. It's why I still appreciate and support ktm. At least they give the consumer options. For 25 they will have 7 different full size MX bikes to chose from.

5/30/2024 9:01pm I currently have both options in my garage- among others. The 350 is easily the most fun to ride and flow on. I'm a struggling vet rider, but even my kid- who's fast by local standards loves the 350. Unless you're a super competitive racer that need to be close to the class capacity limit- the 350 wins every time for fun factor.

5/30/2024 7:46pm While I agree they may lose a few of there 250/450 sales but they won't actually be losing a customer. I believe they will gain costumers with people like me who only buy ktm because of the 350. I wouldn't care if it was honda/yamaha or Kawasaki I would buy there 350. But sadly I don't think they will be...

5/30/2024 6:27pm Can't agree more. Although I do own a 350 but only because I believe it is the perfect engine size not because I love ktm. How do we get the other manufacturers to open there eye's and realise there is a market for more 350's?

5/30/2024 6:22pm Idk what the hell the other brands are waiting for. Seems like there’s a huge potential market for 350 riders. Idk how many people I’ve met who’d love to have a 350 but can’t convince themselves to buy an Austrian bike for one reason or another, myself included.
