Absolutely, your mileage may vary. It's hard to extrapolate the range you'd get from other riders, it depends so much on terrain, speed and riding style, it can wildly swing. Honda and Yamaha prototypes appear to have smaller batteries, don't know if they're conceived for quick swaps but that's the way newcomers like Bonnell or Dust are going, under 1 min swap.

10/3/2026 11:37am Battery tech and electronic tech in general. Not only does the current battery tech lack the capacity to match gas bikes but when pushed hard they run hot and derate to stop failure.

10/3/2026 11:32am No pro will ever be able to do a 30 minute outdoor moto on an electric bike in any of our lifetime. I'm a fat old vet and can flatten a stark battery in 20 mins on a sand track. Solid state batteries is the next big thing and they are talking a 50% gain on lithion ion at best...

9/14/2026 4:07pm Don't go the stark, everyone I know including myself that had one as a main bike has eventually gone back to real bikes. Yes they may be ok as a second bike but as your main bike definitely stick with a real bike.

A couple years after having my 350, I thought maybe I need to go back to a 450. Rode my buddies new Kawi 450 and I couldn't believe how heavy it felt. Different strokes for different folks. I would sooner go down to a 250 than go up to a 450.

The 23+ motor really is like a mini 450 rather than a bigger 250, which is more what I felt the 22 and earlier were like.
