7/29/2024 8:59pm I couldnt agree more with everything you said. And to me the engine on the 23+ ktm 350 is a game changer. People have to get the idea out of there head that the 350 has to be ridden aggressively to go fast, it can be lugged, revved and everything inbetween.

All this is fascinating lol i went on a "try every bike" tour and this is what i learned: I'm 6'3", 210, try my best to ride with good technique over speed, and I get after it hard as I can within my limits. I'm just as fast if not faster on my 22 crf250r (suspension, pipe and sprocket) in a 20 min session than any bike I've owned. I can just ride it harder longer with ZERO ARM PUMP. I disagree you do NOT have to be aggressive on a 350, but you do need to be smooth, maintain momentum through corners and roll the throttle on before the apex and let it eat, yes you can actually give it full throttle and it won’t try to spit you off the bike! They are WAY easier to ride than any 450 fast for longer saving energy, yes you CAN ride third gear around the track and even hit inside lines with stock gearing… 450s are big lethargic shit boxes. My opinion based on owning and racing 125, 250, 500 and now a 350F. I think once you've learned to ride a 125 really well, you can learn more from the 250 as a practice or play bike. The 125 teaches you to carry speed through corners and to be efficient. You can go really fast on a 250 but it's more difficult than a four stroke. If you have the 125 skills in the bank, practicing on the 250 two stroke will allow you to get on a 250F, 350F or 450F and go faster with less effort than...

7/10/2024 4:13pm On my 350 the reduced engine braking was the most noticeable part. The more aggressive throttle response not so much. Also got the litpro part setup, I guess some people might find it pretty cool but i think it's a bit of a gimmick.

7/7/2024 9:39pm Yeah get rid of those stock bars. I've tried pro taper evo and renthal fatbars, while they are not night and day different they are both slightly more comfortable than stock. I really like the renthal 839 bend, they are very comfortable if you are a bit taller, around the 6 foot mark.

Cheers for that. Do you know if you can change it so you can see the airbox side of the number plate? Even on my computer I can only see the right side.

Compared to my 23 KTM 450 my new 25 KTM 450 is better, I think this is a really good blend of comfort like the older frame with the precision of the new frame. At first, I told myself I wouldn't race the new bike till it had 10hrs but I was so happy with the bike with 3hrs I started racing it right away.

So instead of the Japanese companies keeping customers on their brands with 350s, they lose customers to other brands with 350s, yet they think their own 350s would lose riders from their 450 sales........dat don't make no sense.....they're losing customers

7/6/2024 5:51pm Yep I agree. And also he said his results were better on the 450 but I can't remember which moto it was but the last 4-5 guys DNF'd so his results compared to 350 were very similar. I agree that for qualifying the 350 is probably a slight disadvantage but for any of the guys out of the top 20-30...
