Hot Take - The riders should be running the series! No need for Feld/MXS when you have literally thousands of retired racers that can handle everything from building the tracks, to getting the venues and sponsors lined up, flaggers, rule makers, etc. Have former riders do everything the "promotors" do today and the current RIDERS could actually make the money they are Supposed to be making for risking life and limb! The starting gate should be in A shape, with first gate pick at the top, second and third on each side maybe half a foot behind, 4th and 5th half a foot behind second and third and so forth and so on. It would add a ton of excitement to the timed practice qualifying session (like Ricky would say) because gate pick would be even more meaningfull. That is insane. I’m east coast so I wouldn’t know but why do you think there are so many injuries there especially in a single day? A lot of times when I see the chopper come in to get someone I either pack it up or take it easy for the rest of the day.

I would like the 40 best guys to race 450 and for the guys on 250 to be desperate to move up, and for incentives to be aligned in a way to create that...... I would like guys who are ready to move up to not even consider staying down. I'd be fine with all of the factory rides and money going to the thing that gets referred to as the premiere class and for the 250 class to be full of the support teams. As much as I hate to say it this is where it’s going. I wish it wasn’t the way it’s become but I have no loyalty to any dealers anymore after being price gouged even though I had purchased numerous bikes before. The warranty work on mine was easy, they just sent me parts and I installed them myself, then I shipped the old parts back to them for inspection. I paid a grand total of zero dollars and didn’t even have to take my bike to a mechanic who I don’t trust to tighten my spokes.

My local KTM dealer lost their franchise last year, they were so awesome to buy from…no BS, just fair pricing and I would show up with the check…I”m due for a new 300SX this year….Still waiting for the big KTM selloff😂…I also scan marketplace every morning….seeing some really nice low hr used bikes for good prices….I have always established a good relationship with my local dealers for bike purchases. Its hard to beat RMC for parts, no one is more OCD than me about double checking part #”s and making sure the order is 100% correct…

Not always. Our 2 local dealerships (in my town) were almost always MSRP for price + tax, setup, freight, etc. Even when I was younger. I can go to other dealerships within 1.5 hours of me and save hundreds; in the case of a big bike, thousands. I completely agree supporting your local dealer if all things being equal or at least close to it. I would 100% be down with that. Is building a relationship part of paying the $2k higher price that my local dealer is quoting me for the same exact bike that a dealer 3 hours away is quoting me?
