Thank you for reminding me, just swapping the linkage over my sag went from 105mm to about 85mm 😬. So I reset it at 105mm. Though it made me wonder if I should try a lower sag around 95mm to 97mm to help with the front end twitchiness. I recently hit a sandy trail and the bike was washing out...

Be sure to reset/check sag and don’t be afraid to open up that high-speed and low-speed compression a bit if it feels too firm…Shouldn’t be that far off, but good on you for bringing 24’ stockers just in case.

Just threw the 25 linkage on my 24, wlth thats sprung for me with OEM valving. Its definitely significantly firmer on the top. Just like they said on the first impression videos it might need to be revalving to work on the 24. Im sure its going to be interesting to try this weekend with the new engine mounts. Im...

Got the full 2025 linkage in. Unfortunately ordered the wrong bearing kit so I won't be able to try it out until they come in. Though the embargo seems to lift on Monday so we'll find out if its better or worse then.

Not yet, I havent put the money to a set of new triples yet. Though its definitely a possibility. Race cups look absolutely sick but I cant yet justify to myself spending that money and having to buy special bearings everytime I need to replace them.

Did a test ride on the front engine mounts today, and there was a bit of a difference. The biggest thing I noticed was vibration. Never had one of my hands start to tingle on the bars. Running OEM bars and Odi lock on grips. The trail was the normal trail I run, high speed desert with soft sand, sections...

Previous years have had two swingarm part numbers as well, but only a $30 price difference between the two. The 2025 is a significant price difference at over $250. I'm not sure what's the difference between the two, but I'd be really surprised if there were any geometry changes that would effect the motion ratio.

Yeah and its 250 bucks cheaper as well i checked on Babbits and the second swing arm part number matches the 2024 and is similiar if not the same price. I don't have the two prices pulled up right now to tell you exactly. I know my KX450X and other Kawis seemed to have the same parts but different numbers...

Someone pointed out a potential problem in the linkage quest here. The 2024 and 2025 swing arms have different part numbers. 😐 whenever the knuckle comes in well see if this conquest was a failed venture. Got both new engine mounts installed and gonna try and do an actual ride with them tomorrow see if theres any noticable difference. Edit:I...

Yes, heres a picture. I currently have D02-21448-00 which is the right side footpeg bracket. The rear of the bracket is straighter and cut at an angle on the backside. Instead of the 23-24s triangle shape. And well, that seems to be it. Footpeg location seems to be the same but I cant fully tell without pulling it off the...

I ordered both the linkage and connecting arm because I wasnt sure if it all had changed. Though someone pointed out its the same part number. As for the bearings, yes I believe you have to.order them all as well. I got them from rocky mountain because they are the same as previous years.

One of my 2025 front engine mounts came in and that boy is thick, and weighty. Surprisingly heavy. Here is the difference betweem 2024 and 2025 front engine mounts. Wont be able to test if theres a significant difference this weekend unless the other randomly arrives early. Rear linkage has already been ordered, that'll definitely make a huge difference when...

Im definitely dying for some more front end feel. My 2024 KX450x absolutely spoils me in that aspect. I know the traction is there on the Yammie but the bike isn't telling me it is. I was looking at the OEM options currently because its so much cheaper for now. I was looking at the FCP mounts and race cups...

I've begun ordering 2025 YZ450F parts for my 2024. First thing I ordered was the new front engine mounts. Mostly because they are the cheapest thing on the list of new items at around 27 -30 bucks a pop. Testing the waters to see whenever they actually arrive to, once they do I can begin ordering the rest of the...

The new 2025 was revealed. Looks like a lot of new same changes on the chassis but still the same frame. If we are lucky most of those parts we can just toss on our 23-24. New engine mounts for stability, new footpeg brackets, and new rear linkage but on the same shock are already things I'm planning to toss...
