Happy New Year Everyone. I’ve been riding this 24’ KX450 A LOT on my holiday and sure the airbox is small/choked up but the sealing has been decent if you oil your filter correctly. The key is to make sure you slide the outer portion of the filter plate into the airbox correctly and get those plastic pins inside the holes, then snap in. I’ve rushed it once and “almost” screwed it up so it can happen. I’ve seen one buyer suck dirt and Kawasaki warranty’d it but it looked like the filter didn’t have much oil on it. As...

Anyone got the scoop on when FMF might be releasing pipes? I'm eyeing just a slip on for my 450x. Also Ive been eyeing my 22sr and 450x curious if the 22 PC muffler will fit onto the stock 2024 head pipe but I haven't bothered to try it yet. They are awfully close in mounting location.

I chose the 450X because I plan to do more off road and desert racing, I was wanting the 18 inch rear wheel and kick stand. Also since the wheels are interchangeable it essentially allows me to swap parts around if I want to use my 22SR for off road racing, or the 450x for MX. From what I've seen...

Just got done riding my 450X in the desert here. Not sure how anyone thinks this bike is slow. Its so linear you're going much faster than you realize, and that's even with the AT81s in soft sand. Bike is amazing, definitely different from my 22SR but not slower.

I know everyone talks about whipping is mainly for looks/style etc and that riders should put more emphasis on cornering. I get it. And while I agree with that in general, I do want to point out that there is a lot of value in gaining the ability to better control the action of the bike in the air and being able to hit jumps at various angles on the face. It's hard to ride fast when you have to take cornering lines such that you square every jump up so that your are straight going off the face. There...

I'm super interested in the 450X as well, I do a lot of desert riding and racing. I wish they would include a bigger gas tank and some handguards though.
