The new Yamaha has a very soft initial leverage ratio in my opinion so don’t be scared for a stiff spring. it feels soft while on the bike, especially with the stock valving.

REP had me on a 6.8 but they run VERY stiff springs. Enzo has me on a 6.3nm right now with 5.2nm fork springs and I’m 232lbs without gear. Static on the shock isn’t great on 6.3nm but I’m able to get good rider sag numbers (103-105) and the bike feels balanced in the 2 hours I’ve ridden it. I could definitely see going up a rate in the rear but haven’t ridden it off road yet so don’t know for sure Hope this helps.

I'm 235 (naked) and use 6.6. The stock spring was brutal - i was so low in the stroke that it would knock the bars out of my hands on acceleration chop coming out of corners. The 6.6 is border line for perfect pre load etc (could be higher) but the shock is way more plush now. (was revalved also) Even at 220 i think you'll be close.

Hello everyone, I recently picked up a 24 YZ450f. I was looking up spring rates for the rear shock and I was getting some crazy high numbers that I didnt expect. Im a bigger guy at around 235 and losing weight to get to 220 again. I was using the race tech spring calculator and its wanting me to use...

I took my ‘24 out to Lincoln Trail this weekend to try it out on a real track under race conditions. They received 3+ inches of rain last week. With over 550 entries yesterday, it turned into a rough and rutted slot car track. I gotta say, with the stiffer springs installed, the oil level raised in the forks (I set the clickers where Keefer recommended on his site), and my T-6 exhaust, I had no complaints. The only thing slowing me down was me. Best of all, I got to take advantage of Kawasaki contingency and collected $250 for...

That couldn’t be any further from the truth lol. I run KYB A-kit (psf1 air on the fork side) on both my bikes. 2020 KTM 300XC (hard enduro and single track), 2022 Honda CRF250R (moto/GP racing). I bought my first set through Enzo in 2020 on a yz250f I had. After experiencing that I had to do the same to my KTM. Also thought i'd address the above post saying its "way stiffer with much different flex characteristics". It's completely how you want it. I custom build my forks for hard enduro and single track use, which means i want...

I'm using the last gen tank, and it fits perfectly fine. I run a washer and bolt on the left side plastics because they tend to spread a little bit from the extra size of the tank. Gives it some more give without modification to the plastics, only a little bit of space between the left size shroud and air...

I didn't have any issues on my end with it sealing, but I also haven't had issues with any rolling on my filters either. I'm cleaning air filters today so I'll let you know.

My 2024 450x has been great to me so far. Probably put down over 350+ miles on it easily since early December. Been running 25-30 mile trails multiple times a week plus two sets of 100+ miles for a training weekend, then a 75 mile race in New Mexico. Only issue I've had so far was the damaged cartridge internal...

The silver wheels killed the 50th for me. Can’t stand them. My dealer had the 50th for $300 cheaper than the regular.

Looks like Acerbis has dropped the plastics for the 24 KX450 now. Those who are needing them, now we can finally nab them up. Green, black and white.

Anyone found strange bushing wear and scoring on the inside of their fork cartridges? My local suspension shop here popped them open to swap the oil out and we found the oil was pretty nasty but filled with some metal. We looked over and found one of the bushings on the compression valving worn out. Later one we looked inside...

I’m running the clamps and KYB forks off of my 22 SR. I’d say they have the same effect as they did on the previous model which for me feels almost like a more exact/accurate front end where I can feel the rut and where my tire is contacting better than stock clamps. Maybe a little bit more rigid but you’re going to get that if you want more feel, I like them the most just for the bar/mount setup compared to stock clamps which get twisted too easily.

Anyone running the X Trig clamps on their bikes yet? Any info on any handling feel from swapping them over? I know Keefer did some reviews on them on a Yamaha and KTM. He talked about how he lost a little comfort on lean just curious if that is the same on the KX.
