I have the light speed one on my bike
Anybody get a vortex ecu for their 24??? I just received mine in the mail from twisted and decided to install it. I set the tps as I do with all my bikes when I install an ecu. The bike starts but is flashing the amber/orange light constantly and is clearly not running right. Anyone have any experience with this? Twisted is closed on weekends and hasn’t responded to my message on IG. thanks in advance.
Got mine from XPR. It’s great and best customer service in the business.
Did you have to do any Mods for it to fit?

I got mine from twisted, wouldn’t start at first then ran poorly then ran fine. Regret not getting from xpr, service and the tunes included leave some to be desired.
Was the oem map switch flashing amber like there was some sort of fault/error code? It won’t turn blue no matter what I do. Just flashes amber the entire time.
It flashes amber blinks per what tune you have toggled. Tune one is always one of those settings, in my case I run tune 1 and 3 and can toggle between those 2. But when first installed it would not start and was blinking a lot of different things. I had set tps before trying start also.
I called light speed and they sent me this one. It hits a little on a bolt for the water pump. Doesn’t cause any issues. Ran some Velcro between the plate and the frame to help with vibration
According to keefers video and the directions provided it says it’s supposed to blink blue per map and obviously no fault codes. Something is not right. I also noticed that when you bump the start button it doesn’t wake it up like it should. My high, mid, lo adjustments are all set at 4 which is odd because they always are set at 5 you have the same setup?
I get nothing but an amber solid until it starts, then it blinks which map. I will check on settings.
Low mid and hi are at 4.
Ok, now I need to figure out the constant flash and then I’ll just ride with it and see what and how it feels.
The thing that bothers me is they have a modification worksheet when you order. I have a pro circuit ti-6, some airbox mods with no screen and run Sunoco gt260 fuel and I just received the standard maps. I don’t know why I bothered filling that out and think some timing was left on the table. Maybe I’m wrong but it was never explained.
Absolutely! along with the sheet showing the correct colors for everything. I’m almost not sold on the fact it’s even completely setup for the 2024.
Anyone have any active promo codes for any of the websites. Looking at dropping about $2500 in parts for the new bike.....I figured it's worth asking haha!!
OK. Thanks. I will do the same. Or first see how the one on my 22 450 fit.
Like I said earlier, the TM Designworks skid plate from my 2019 bolted right up on my ‘24 so I didn’t have to buy one. Worth checking, for sure.
Twisted mapped, like @mxrandy says, one yellow blink for map 1, is always map 1 on Vortex. When you select map 2 on handlebar it will be number of blinks for the setting on Vortex which you select.
I also saw the Keefer vid about XPR Vortex… guess we don’t get colored blinks from Twisted. I tried calling them a few times, always got a person but the experts weren’t available. If you go to the Vortex website we are also supposed to get launch control and traction control… all I ever see is yellow lights, so hard to know what’s up.
The standard map 1 is supposed to be best overall map, great low to mid but felt it signed off early, currently running map setting 3 with one click up on high fuel. This is a nice improvement over stock, bike has a very racey feel now.
If you find out more let us know! Maybe someone that’s confident in what’s going on can make a Vid about the Twisted Vortex.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah It doesn’t make any sense to me. The paperwork that is in the box clearly says you’ll have all those other options. Bike seems to run fine now but for a grand it should have the different colors flashes as well as allowing us to use launch control. Gonna call Monday and hopefully get somewhere.
The guys at Twin Air are awesome. They shipped my kit to another customer with a similar name on accident. They didn't charge me for the BIO cleaner I ordered and threw in a second air filter for free to make things right.
Just when I finally forget about the frame recall I see this video 😅

How did you double up your kick stand spring. I want to do mine.
Bought another oem kickstand spring for the 450x and put it on with the first spring.
I took my ‘24 out to Lincoln Trail this weekend to try it out on a real track under race conditions. They received 3+ inches of rain last week. With over 550 entries yesterday, it turned into a rough and rutted slot car track. I gotta say, with the stiffer springs installed, the oil level raised in the forks (I set the clickers where Keefer recommended on his site), and my T-6 exhaust, I had no complaints. The only thing slowing me down was me. Best of all, I got to take advantage of Kawasaki contingency and collected $250 for my efforts. I’m very happy with my bike.
i have the twin air powerflow installed, fmf slip on as well, and i will say it definitely woke it up more especially off the bottom out of second gear and pulls a little harder in 3rd. Can also use 3rd a lot more in corners. Stuck to a 50 tooth sprocket, love the linear bottom end too much to move to a 51. But i want to try a new map, which is the best map to try and can someone link me to it? only one i can find is the keefer one...
I played around alot with the mapping and actually ended up back with the stock map. I have PC Ti6, opened up airbox/filter and 51 tooth and never use 2nd anywhere. 3rd pulls from any corner, is very smooth and pulls forever.
I feel the kx app is a bit of a gimmick compared to the yamaha one. It allows a bit of adjustment with fuel but almost nothing with timing.
I have the twin air filter set up & was curious what you guys are using for air filter wash covers? I don’t believe the regular style ones will fit & don’t see twin air offering one.
I got an email response from TA that they are working on airbox wash covers and should be out late this month.
We had a ktm do that a few weekends ago locally.
Crazy. I never remember hearing about any frame issues in the 80'/90s (maybe just the CR500?) But we didn't really have internet until the late 90s so maybe we just didn't hear about it.
