As someone who road raced this is painfully true. 600 dollars on a set of slicks a weekend, and sometimes two sets a weekend if you're real fast or if the track eats tires. Lightweight bikes are a little cheaper but still 400 or so.

If you realized how cheap motocross is compared to road racing you’d know that isn’t even a consideration for a great many of folks out there who want to be competitive.

I posted the new valving specs above. FC has some photos on their site of the Delta valve.

This is great to hear, I just replaced my YZs clutch after 20 hours and I didnt realize how toast it was. Threw a Hinson in mine as well so I'll have to look into the inner hub as well. Heres mine.

I've been doing this and loving it. It took a bit of playing with suspension and fork height but its amazing. Currently running a 90/100 AT82 front tire and loving it as well. However Im a bigger guy so the spring change probably wasnt needed for me.

So I’ve put maybe 13-14 hours on the Luxon triples all in the 23mm offset, at Argyll Mx for othg races, local off road spot and in Crested Butte Colorado for all off road. My take so far is that for me the 23 mm offset works better than the 22 mm. The bike lays over with more confidence, not necessarily easier, but steadier and more predictable, holds the line better mid turn, and if you want to turn down hard with the bars it cuts a slightly less sharp line, which for me is good. I typically don’t have...

I'm extremely impressed with how much better they are than the AT81. I would rather run street tires than use an 81 again. My only issue I found when running the AT82 in the soft direction out here in the soft sand is if I had the tire spinning up to much it wouldn't really grab the ground super good...

I perhaps judged the AT82s too harshly. I ran the AT82 90/100 front tire on my 2024 KX450X yesterday and the tire was wonderful in the sand at 14 PSI. I'm definitely considering it for my 2024 YZ450F now. I had an impressive amount of stability on the edge of the tire even compared to the MX34. I didn't feel...

I did the front engine mounts first, I did 43 miles on them on my normal desert trails. Its a healthy mixture of soft desert sand, to hard pack, to river wash. Then I got the linkage on for the MX track and I just hit the desert trail with it yesterday evening. The feeling is definitely different on the...

Did you try the linkage and front mount separate or all at the same time.

I wouldn’t do the 90/100. I have the 80/100 and it is noticeably taller than a 80/100 MX33 or 34. I bet the 90 would throw off your steering some.

Ran the 2025 linkage and engine mounts today on my 2024 spring rate and valving. The bike is so much better, so much more stable on the front end, and front end feeling. I can tell that I have lean angle traction now instead of just guessing it. I lost the front under braking and the bike just sorta pat...

Thank you for reminding me, just swapping the linkage over my sag went from 105mm to about 85mm 😬. So I reset it at 105mm. Though it made me wonder if I should try a lower sag around 95mm to 97mm to help with the front end twitchiness. I recently hit a sandy trail and the bike was washing out...

Be sure to reset/check sag and don’t be afraid to open up that high-speed and low-speed compression a bit if it feels too firm…Shouldn’t be that far off, but good on you for bringing 24’ stockers just in case.

Just threw the 25 linkage on my 24, wlth thats sprung for me with OEM valving. Its definitely significantly firmer on the top. Just like they said on the first impression videos it might need to be revalving to work on the 24. Im sure its going to be interesting to try this weekend with the new engine mounts. Im...

Got the full 2025 linkage in. Unfortunately ordered the wrong bearing kit so I won't be able to try it out until they come in. Though the embargo seems to lift on Monday so we'll find out if its better or worse then.

Not yet, I havent put the money to a set of new triples yet. Though its definitely a possibility. Race cups look absolutely sick but I cant yet justify to myself spending that money and having to buy special bearings everytime I need to replace them.

Did a test ride on the front engine mounts today, and there was a bit of a difference. The biggest thing I noticed was vibration. Never had one of my hands start to tingle on the bars. Running OEM bars and Odi lock on grips. The trail was the normal trail I run, high speed desert with soft sand, sections...
