Don't know how many mxgp subscribers we have on here but the racing this year is bad ass so far!! Even the womans race and the emx 125 class are battling this am on sand track!! Can't wait to see the mx2 and mxgo qualifying race!! Herlings is back and should be interesting!!
Looking forward to having herlings back. It's gajsers title tk lose, and herlings could win a lot of races if gajser chooses to protect his lead.
I’m following it for the first time year (have only watched rounds 1-3 so far). I have found it to be kinda boring so far. Hoping for more excitement in round 4 if my totally legit site ever uploads the races.
I watch the 125 emx races on yt & 125 America races . That’s it , New styles of riding a 125 or bike . Then I put little tweaks on the moves. I call it double tap the tap. Code word for Profeshenal 125 advanced moves & techniques

This looks absolutely insane

I’ve been trying to keep with it on an unnamed website. Been good tho !
I've watched a couple recaps on YT and thought it quite boring and very subpar tracks.
What! This weekends racing was absolutely insane, 3/4 motos came down to the last corner practically and even the one that didn’t was damn close. Wild come back ride from de wolf on the second moto to get the lead back with - few corners to go. Argentina and Sardegna looked like such fun tracks, France last weekend is an iconic spot and next weekend is one of the most picturesque tracks in the world. To each their own but you’re crazy with that takes….
The gates are scary, considering they're in Europe. A 40 bike start gate, in the 250's, 18 riders? It's a joke!
It’s because it’s in southern Europe, it’s on an island so it logistically it’s hard to travel plus more expensive. Another emx250 round has been added so most teams will budget for that rather than a GP round. That’s reason for the low numbers plus a few regulars are out injured.
I’m not making excuses for Youthstream, I agree there is a major problem with costs.
Yeah, you have to understand, MXGP pays for the luxury lifestyle of the Luongo's. They live it up in Monaco, the most expensive location in the European continent. They have no interest in the sport, only the $$$$
They are definitely parasites with no concern for the future of the sport.
Is there a way to watch it that doesn’t cost a fortune?
Yeah get a VPN, set it to New Zealand & it should be a lot cheaper.
I watch the highlights each race.
Tracks look flat and rough. Great tracks to come on the schedule and then the stupid fly away rounds where I loose interest.
You know, MXGP and MX2 second motos have been live on the CBS Sports channel this year.
Question for all, how do you think the talent level's currently match up ama vs gp.
With the 250's especially I feel like the ama guys have a pretty good edge right now with the eye test. De wolfe aside, I think everts, adamo, s conen would struggle stateside.
It would be easier to compare if MXGP and AMA raced on the same type of tracks.
For example, last weekend in Sardenga, the track was nothing like any track we have here in the United States - hot weather and beach sand.
Some MXGP guys, like The Dutch and the Belgians, were born in the deep sand and can ride those tracks better than anyone in the world.
Then you have the French and the Spaniards, who grow up racing on hard pack and clay like we have in a lot of tracks in the US.
One thing about MXGP is that the tracks they race on can be total shit and narrow, or spectacular and technical like Matterly. The AMA and the NPG like to have more uniformity and "sameness" to their series, so the tracks are more similar. This is what makes the MXGP and MX2 guys more versatile, their ability to ride fast in all conditions.
The proof here is the MXoN, where our USA guys struggle with European tracks like Matterly or Lommel or Ernee. Team USA has not won a moto off USA soil in some years.
That said, I expect Team USA to win this year at Ironman if it doesn't rain - they know the track well and have lots of laps there.
Pit Row
Hold onto your hat when it hits Australia.... if it does! They're going to the most depressed part of the country, man, it's ROUGH. I think it'll end up being a running race, as the bikes will be stolen. The locals will sell them off for scrap value to buy beer. The locals will come into the event with spears, and all sorts of odd weapons, walk out with a works bike. Good deal.
I’m in the throw a blanket over them club. I watch every moto of both series and honestly think they are almost as even as they could be right now. I also look at it more of an ama vs mxgp thing at mxon for moto wins and without looking up stats I feel that’s pretty even too.
We’d have a lot better sense of this if these promoters would actually combine our series like every single fan in the entire world wants. It’s really not that hard other than the money. If they wanted to make it happen they absolutely could.
If I watch the race on TV I don't care. Or how do the dudes between P20 and 40 make the race better for you? If anything they cause issues when they're lapped 3 times.
When I'm there in person I do prefer full gates
Damn, it's actually 1/3 of the normal price this way, that's insane lol.
So how about Luogano or whatever his name is and Davy get it together to have a combined MXGP and American outdoor race. Finish position points add to relevant series. That would even be better than the MXoNs as you would have 40 extremely fast guys on the gate for both 250 and 450.
I'm almost 55 and would like to see this before I run out of life.
On the tv it has very little impact, apart from at the start. And i hate it from a competition standpoint, a toprider falls in turn one and at the end of the lap he is in 17th right at the back of the pack in mx2.
When at the GPs no question: The fight in EMX250 with guys in spot 34 fighting till the last lap offers much more to watch then just 15 quick guys and 3 field fillers in mx2
Stright?
Mx2 has been good but MXGP with Prado leaving left a void.
Love how aggressive MXGP and MX2 guys are. IMO its notablely more aggressive than AMA motocross. Not sure if its riding style or the tracks they race on that promotes it. Started watching last year and I couldn't believe how vicious they were at times.
The 125 emx class has full gates. With Great racing this race is Really good.
That sounds like a great race weekend to follow.
…there may be a change of venue for that round i hear…
