I put the last odds and ends on what will be Mr. Gordon’s race bike, and met him to hand it over. Before I loaded it up, I made sure to snag some pics. It doesn’t have the graphics or plastic kit we’ll be running at round one on yet, but MAN this thing just looks beautiful. It was a fun project building this from a bare frame. The ‘09 is a great bike. I got a little carried away with this one, I ended up putting too much money into it. The motor was a little soft on the stock bike, but Tokyo Mods did a great job with their mods.

That’s on my hit list of bikes to own. I recently bought an ultra pristine 2008 CRF450R and it’s so astounding how good it is. I put a pro circuit exhaust on it, had a carb built to spec for it by Jet Labs, and had the suspension sprung for my 160LB weight. It’s so good. And honestly it is easy to start, I haven’t been through a hard crash or lengthy tipover with it yet, but I have stalled it and it fired up first kick. I’m no longer scared of the carbureted 450’s. Got a few laced up with yellow and a few laced with black. We have had great luck with the D.I.D st-x rims, and unfortunately they discontinued the yellow. Otherwise, I’d probably always run yellow. We’ll bounce back and forth between the two depending on the graphics for the weekend. I know the 05 era factory look has to have yellow in my opinion. I’m on the fence as to which color to run on the 90’s era and the mostly black look.

Welp, back at it again with the Suzukis in arenas. We’ve been able to improve this team every year from an equipment and funding standpoint in almost every aspect, which feels good. I don’t think any team can guarantee results in this sport, but I can control what we offer the riders, and I’m proud of it. Last year the plan was to flood the starting line with 4 riders in each series. Remember Jeremy Robin winning in 2013 on an old 1985 Honda in the 250B class? That is way more impressive than winning the C class on a newer bike My kid won a moto/2nd overall on a 2023 85 we paid $2500 for this year lol

He didn’t win 250B on the ‘85. He won the Two stroke B/C class. But yes, still impressive and that was so cool. Congratulations to your kid! That is awesome!

Just an FYI. The kid who won 450C and finished second in 250C did it on the older generation Husqvarna's (Pre-2023). Those bikes are going for like $3500-$4500 used in good condition in my area. You don't need a new bike to win.

Ken also went to the Hayabusa event at Hayabusa station in Totori last Sunday (Tsuda-kun was there too) unfortunately a new Suzuki motocross bike has not been in the works for years (more like months) and that is all i'm going to say
