A lot of their power delivery comes down to their gearing and throttle body designs from what I can tell. You ever see where keefer used a Ktm style throttle body on his Yamaha and it made it way more linear? I’m thinking you may still be in business if my low iq interpretation on it is accurate.

5/24/2026 11:56am I thought this too but there’s not a lot of spectator viewing on the far side of the track. Not sure how the neighboring development would feel about the traffic either. But the track itself is National caliber for sure.

First new bike since 2007 YZ250F and I'm very satisfied with it. Put a link on it and a few suspension adjustments and its great. Totally stock motor except for the slip on and gearing and I have no complaints. I'll be a Suzuki guy till I quit riding.

the internet says .48kg for 2012 rmz450 stockers so no go there, thanks for the thought and reply though brother! it is a lot of spring but race tech seems to think they are what is needed to support my fat ass. Not going to be the fastest dude at the track on this scooter but that's alright haha

5/18/2026 1:48pm I have a set of stock springs from a '12 RMZ-450 that had 47mm Showa's. I'll have a to check the rate but if they work for you, I'll make you a good deal. .51kg/mm sounds pretty beefy for a 125.

Still have a 2012 450 with under 20 original hours (I have mentioned this before but I believe this was the best handling 450 ever made. JS7 may agree.) I do really like my 2024 KX 450 but whenever an all-new RM-Z 450 shows up on showroom...

5/8/2026 7:37am I don't know if you will see any big changes to the 450. The bike they are racing in the All Japan nationals looked pretty similar to the current production bike. Kawasaki generally sticks to 4 year cycles (5 on the last gen)
