It's that time of year when new bikes will start popping up. Keefer stated that there is a new YZ450 coming for 26. I am assuming Honda, Kawasaki, and KTM will stay the same for 26?
Anyone heard any new release info?
I’d guess red, green, yellow and punkin will stay the same. Punkin is Okie speak for Pumpkin. Same for Beta, new ish for 25.
Yamaha does not seem to be afraid to make changes.
The specs on the 26 Ducati get released tomorrow. Hoping to pick up a new bike for 26!
Probably orange frame KTM. New frame in 2027. Rumors of spring forks for '27 too. Also a rumor about no 2026 Husky (I assume Gasgas too) but a return in '27 for Husky but not Gasgas.
As much as I like new bikes I’m good for a while. I picked up a left over 24 KX450 back in Dec like a lot of us did. I’m good on my 24 300 RX as far as two strokes. My recent found success getting my low hour 23 Honda dialed in which, I finally really like kinda put brakes on a new 26.
About this time next year if my age doesn’t prevent I’d like to have a 250 Ducati setting in the garage. But I have no idea when the 250 Ducati’s will hit the market.

Miss the days when the media would go over to Japan for round 1 of there series and would get the spy photos of the new bikes. Was always cool to see.
What is Yamaha running for a 450 in MXGP? I haven’t seen any major changes visible to the naked eye, but they could have an all new frame with 2025 style plastic and you couldn’t tell. They often run the next year’s model there like they did the CRF450R.
Yes, that is exactly what I was thinking. I always used to eagerly await the 1st Japanese national race so we could see what next year had in store. Seems like that is gone now.
Wasn’t it Tokyo Tiddler that used to get some photos for us?
The old 22 frame
All Japan Motocross Championship starts in 2 weeks. Need some Vital representation with a camera for a Pit Bits.
Yes sir! I remember way back when the magazines would arrive in late July from the March or April rounds. We got to see the new bikes about 2 weeks early then. Technology has made it so we could see them live now if they existed.
Yessir!
Would be nice to see the 2026 Beta 350RX 2-stroke be released. Also Beta needs to get the kids racing on a new Beta 250 RX 4-stroke. Beta 250 with a backwards motor???
All eyes on the Yamaha 450 for me.
Renaux's bike is a '22 chassis. You can tell by looking at the wishbone of the frame, where the cradle is.
I’d like to see a 350 4 stroke RX and a 250 4 stroke RX. Friend of mine that owns a Beta Dealership told me a good while Beta talked about a 250 4 stroke RX at one of the dealer meetings but as far as I know they haven’t moved in that direction.
Where did Keefer mention that? He would certainly know better than me, but I'd be surprised to see Yamaha unveil a new generation after only 3 years of producing their current gen. model. I'd be pumped to see that happen because I told my wife "I'll wait for the next generation to come out before buying a new one." 😂
On his site, they did a shootout between the YZ450 the Triumph 450RC, and the Gas Gas. Toward the end he says, there is a new YZ on the way.
Pit Row
I heard that’s what Renaux is running. Keefer said they’re trying to get some of that stability back
Beta 300RS-SE 4stroke with 6 speeds would make me switch from my Honda.
Man when those spy photos of the 2019 KX450 hit this place was going crazy.
It looks like most components are staying the same. Frame changes possibly.
Another year of shouting into the void for a Japanese 350.
Makes me wonder if Yamaha will go the Honda route and just update everything across the board 250 and 450 if they managed to find a good in between the 2022 stability and the 2023-24 turning ability.
The tiny front end twitch on the new gen on turn it really can snatch confidence at times. This gen Yamaha is fabulous but still could be better. I've heard a bunch of complaints about the 250s low end but haven't ridden one myself.
I know its wishful thinking but I'm hoping Suzuki will finally update the RMZ. They updated their DRZ which hasnt been changed since the times of Moses so I have hope.
Keefer also said there was a new RMZ450 as well for 2024/5.
Haha we pre ordered the YZ65 and when the photos leaked it reminded me of the days in the 80's when the new pamphlets dropped
Yes... very sad no one but the KTM group is building one. Missed opportunity.
