aside from the music blaring out the start of every race to where we can’t hear the revs and the ridiculously small posters that 90% of the team’s hand out, they might as well just be giving out postcards at the rigs, they’re so small and ridiculous. Aside from that it was all sick. Weather was great, racing was awesome. But what gave me a heart attack was the parking at the garage right next to T mobile. Check this out. Pretty sure I gave my buddies a stroke when I sent them the picture. Next year, I’m gonna have to ask some of you locals how you do the whole public transportation thing on the light rail because this is beyond insanity.

I’ve only been to Seattle once, it wasn’t for SX, and I don’t think I was in a car at all until I came back, me and my mom used public transportation the whole time, my grandma(who knew her way around public transportation there) helped us. So, next time, use public transportation, be ready to walk a good amount, and go with a friend that lives around there and knows their way around public transportation. Sorry that you had the experience you had.

Did you stay in Seattle?

On the few occasions that I drove or had rental, I left it at the hotel and walked to the stadium.

Seattle is insane for parking. When I’m in town for business, I charge ALL expenses to the customer…my “Seattle Customer” once balked at my parking fees…

“No worries, I’ll simply add it to the contract. The ‘annual’ contract. Ok?” They apologized for interrupting my day 😂

Damn. That's gnarly. I will say though that I'd rather spend $100 than walk around all the zombies in Seattle.

Not to mention all of the drunk "race fans" on those e scooters. I saw some real carnage leaving the stadium after the race.

The light rail is incredible for transportation, and not nearly as dangerous as people make it out to be. 10x more worth it than any parking garage, anything run by Diamond Parking is taxed to the 9’s

Seattle is like Detroit, it’s not nearly as bad as social media makes it out to be

Did your car also get to see the race?

What he said.  Go to a Park and Ride parking lot (free) and ride the Sound Transit light rail to the stadium (about $6 round trip if I remember correctly) and it drops you off right next to the stadium.  Then you do not have to deal with traffic leaving the stadium either, that is kind of a win-win.  It is not sketchy as when you leave the race, you are surrounded by race fans doing the same thing.  Any other random night, you will get entertainment on the train 🤪

I visit Seattle and Detroit. Detroit has more abandoned buildings and urban rot, but Seattle has far more Zombies.

I talked online with someone who parked near the stadium that paid $113.

Ya I intentionally stayed right by the light rail station in Tukwilla but it doesn't run on weekends! Then I paid $40 to park with Spot Hero app 1/2 mile from the stadium but got a $75 ticket because in the wrong lot 150' from the lot that I was supposed to. I've ridden the amtrack before and stayed downtown which is pretty nice but the hotels are expensive.

I live 15 minutes from the stadium and took an uber to enjoy a nice buzz (great racing BTW). I was a little shocked it cost me $100 round trip..

We got a hotel near SEATAC airport that was a 5 min walk to the light rail stop.  Hotel didn't charge any parking fees like the downtown hotels do.  $6 for an all day rail pass, 18 and under free. It was about a 45 minute train ride.

We didn't have any problem with sketchy people on the train.  Being a west coast race, you're riding the train late morning to catch qualifying and we were back to the hotel by 10pm, so no issues with the late night crowd.  Trains run to about 1am if you want to hang downtown a while.

I was worried there would be massive crowds filling the trains, but we took our time exiting the stadium and it was no problem finding room on the first train.  The train was predominantly filled with supercross fans for the ride back.
