My bad I thought the entry fees were still ridiculous. At least that's something they sorted and made better for everyone.

The entry fee is 300 euro. That isnt an arm and a leg and isnt stopping it. If you are from Lommel it is a 27 hour trip (as in non stop driving). It simply makes no sense for a privateer who isnt doing the full championship (since you dont do the fly-aways) to do races in Finland or Turkey...

I'm sure there would have been more GP entries if it was earlier in the season and not as a replacement, and if it wouldnt have clashed with ADAC. But still, reality is that once injuries start to add up MXGP and MX2 have issues with nr of riders. We had 25 and 26 at Great Britain. Or 22 start...

Imo the issue is not that it was a replacement but that Infront does not think about all these valid points you make, or worse not care. Same with the track selection. They don't think about the quality of the track or care about the quality of the track.

And it's so unnecessary that 50% are unwatchable GP's. A GP in Finland that is added later in the season, on a date that clashes with national championship, in the middle of summer when there was a break in the calendar, in Finland as a stand alone (so for most teams/riders at least a 24h non stop drive), with EMX250...

As much as i hate the low entries at most GPs, this one is kind of a unusual situation with this being a late replacement for Indonesia. A bunch of mx1 riders have commitments at the German Championship. Those races are scheduled on non-gp weekends, but this one clashes. It means that guys like Haavisto and Weckman miss their home...

Interesting to see if de Wolf can keep his cool and focus on a decent start and take his time to move forward. Its quite insane that he lost 85 points in 4 grand prix to Langenfelder.

Just looking at racedays/weekends misses about 200+ days a year riders in both series are hard at work. 1 mio in GPs is a paycut vs 1.5 mio in the us. Unless thisusernameisavailable think these guys do all those long days training in Lommel right now because mx is their hobby.

As long as the OEMs want the riders in the serie that has the world championship title nothing changes. The moment the OEMS say we value WSX or a combo of the national races more then the GPs then you will see the factory riders in those.

Just have more decent riders in mx2? I would say 1000-1500 euro a GP would cover the direct expenses (travel, and parts consumption at the GP) and i'm sure a bunch of riders would show up in that case.

I agree that Gajser or Herlings should be priority for Yamaha, would really turn their program around. But if that doesnt work imo Everts or Langenfelder seems like a good match for Yamaha. Two more years in MX2 left i think. Don't know if they are available contractwise.

I dont get why Infront doesnt setup a privateer program. Give 5 decent riders from nearby a free entry, free Tyres and some cash at each GP that has issues with entries. Spend some time during the broadcast for the 3 best privateers and have a title sponsor for that segment to pay for the costs (i mean the have...

Whats up with Osterhagen in EMX250? He was winning in that class a few years back and now he not even in top 25 in points

You cannot see anything. the glass is tinted so you cannot see anything the mechanics are doing. The only time the KRT glass bowl opens is when they need to start the bikes. They put the end of the bike out of the door, start the bike, rev it a bit, kill the engine and close the door again. No...

Imo its a bit early for that. One moto dnf for Febvre and it's basically all tied up.

I was planning on just spectating. Pretty sure my health insurance would leave me to die on the sidewalk outside the US so didn't want to risk it.

Its sad for Gajser, but for the championship its actually not that bad. We just need Gajser to not miss to many rounds. I wouldnt be surprised to see Gajser back in good form at France and have Febvre, Gajser and Coenen be within 30 points or something like that
