#13: MXGP of Finland

Mx Vice has reported he is out for tomorrow unfortunately. 

I took unopened (from shop) water bottles with me and they were ok in the safety control inspection. It was odd though not to see any water filling spots at the area.

Another odd thing for this type of Finnish happening was that alcohol consumption was not limited to specific areas 🤭

That was a Vicious prang - the way the bike flung into him / over him, looking like it followed him into the ground.

Kay's words of concern for Liam where indicative of his character - he mentioned how it was a prang much like what so damaged Liam in China last year.

I really hope Everts is OK.

Underwhelming the amount of riders in GP classes.. luckily the EMX series had decent entries. Track is quick though! I think we would have seen more entries if this was earlier in the season and not added after all budgets were completed.. 

I hope the spectators took binoculars...

I wish the track builders would stop making ‘waves’ everywhere. They’re stupid, especially on a sand track. 

I was actually suprised by the amount of riders showing up in both EMX classes.

At least even from a distance they would have clearly seen the 6 foot trackside advertising banners and that's what counts on planet Luongo.

I've ridden on better practice tracks than that one..... not a gp caliber venue.

I'm sure there would have been more GP entries if it was earlier in the season and not as a replacement, and if it wouldnt have clashed with ADAC.

But still, reality is that once injuries start to add up MXGP and MX2 have issues with nr of riders. We had 25 and 26 at Great Britain. Or 22 start moto 2 in Lommel MX2 last year.

Many of the non-factory riders on the 450 chose a national program over GPs and many in the 250 chose EMX250 over MX2. As long as the incentive isnt there it wont change

Much, much too late but finally got around to watching the races and it’s so nice to see a good performance from Van Doninck, it seems like that guys been through it all with injuries so to put up a result like that showcases how incredibly talented he is
