Just have more decent riders in mx2? I would say 1000-1500 euro a GP would cover the direct expenses (travel, and parts consumption at the GP) and i'm sure a bunch of riders would show up in that case.

I agree that Gajser or Herlings should be priority for Yamaha, would really turn their program around. But if that doesnt work imo Everts or Langenfelder seems like a good match for Yamaha. Two more years in MX2 left i think. Don't know if they are available contractwise.

I dont get why Infront doesnt setup a privateer program. Give 5 decent riders from nearby a free entry, free Tyres and some cash at each GP that has issues with entries. Spend some time during the broadcast for the 3 best privateers and have a title sponsor for that segment to pay for the costs (i mean the have...

Whats up with Osterhagen in EMX250? He was winning in that class a few years back and now he not even in top 25 in points

You cannot see anything. the glass is tinted so you cannot see anything the mechanics are doing. The only time the KRT glass bowl opens is when they need to start the bikes. They put the end of the bike out of the door, start the bike, rev it a bit, kill the engine and close the door again. No...

Imo its a bit early for that. One moto dnf for Febvre and it's basically all tied up.

I was planning on just spectating. Pretty sure my health insurance would leave me to die on the sidewalk outside the US so didn't want to risk it.

Its sad for Gajser, but for the championship its actually not that bad. We just need Gajser to not miss to many rounds. I wouldnt be surprised to see Gajser back in good form at France and have Febvre, Gajser and Coenen be within 30 points or something like that

Just a heads up so that you actually can ride... I'm not sure how it works exactly, but you will need to have a dutch license or maybe an international/fim license to actually be allowed to ride on the track. This is checked before you enter the track. Probably some dutchies on this forum can tell you how it works...

Assuming you fly in via Porto i would spend at least the friday in Porto and drive to the track on saturday. Then the weekend stay in Aveiro, which is something like half an hour from the track. It's a nice city next to the water with nice views and canals. It was an enjoyable city to spend the weekend...

Not to mention the A-Stars guy standing on one with his back to oncoming traffic. That's a serious injury waiting to happen.

Thanks for the explanation, that makes sense. So basically as long as EMX250 is raced during GP weekends and is 8 or 10 races major emx teams will prefer that series untill they get good support for MX2. What would your suggestion be for increasing the number of riders in MX2? I think last weekend was a decent number (32...

Good question as I didn't explain it correctly and mixed up 2 things. Doing MX2 with the overseas included costs team owners 3 to 4 times as much as running a season of EMX250. Doing the 17 European rounds in MX2 instead would at least be double the costs of doing EMX250 but probably even more. I calculate with 10 EMX250 rounds vs 17 European MX2 rounds. (10 rounds = average for EMX250, per season it ranges from 8 to 11 rounds last couple of years) When doing MX2 this means you need to have more bikes, more parts, higher...

" Trust me, the OEM's foot for maybe 2/5th of the bill of the current ''factory'' EMX250 efforts, the rest of the bill is for the respected teams. For that low amount of support you can't fund a private MX2 / MXGP team and no team-owner is interested to do only half of a championship at 3 to 4 times...

i think Infront really likes to keep the EMX250 class, which i understand because i feel 1 or maybe 2 years in EMX250 helps in development. Imo the options are: * Keep it like it is * Get rid of EMX250 * Remove the age limit in MX2 * Add another limit to EMX250 (age lower, max nr. of years...

Unless you put a cap on nr of seasons in emx250 nothing will change because the riders prefer to do emx250 over mx2. The numbers show it. I think there is a group of riders in Europe above 23 years of age who dont have the speed for mxgp but do have the speed for some wildcards in mx2. Maybe...

Changing gifting for Geerts doesnt solve anything. Imo they should stop spending money on getting titels in emx250 with riders that are in their second or even third year. And spend the money they save on getting better riders in mx2
