Bobby Bruce mentioned it in his interview with gatedrop: he goes privateer MX1 because of the running & tuning costs of the 250. Hakon Osterhagen will also ride MX1 in his homecountry. 10/26/2025 12:19pm tbh i cant see someone coming with a much bigger offer then what he currently is offered. it appears that he has been shopping his services everywhere including brazil. I cant see someone coming up with much more this late in the contract season

10/26/2025 12:07pm That is not a strong list for now. Still some months to go. From the people under missing on your list it looks that Van Erp currently has nothing, just riding on a privateer KTM. Grau is still riding with WZ decals.

10/24/2025 12:40am I guess Coldenhoff also has some requirements about the bike? I mean if i'm Beta i'd prefer to run 1 rider with Coldenhoff over running both Geerts and Elzinga (and spend the money saved on running 1 rider on Coldenhoffs salary).

If results at the nations are something you hold in high regard, then certainly you'll find Jago to be MUCH better than Ben with his perfomance at Red Bud.

10/17/2025 12:42am That story about Watson is getting a little old. He did convincingly beat teammates Bryliakov, Lupino, Monticelli, Koch at Yamaha and Beta. However he was clearly beaten by teammates Geerts, Coldenhoff, Seewer & Febrvre at Kemea (in MX2) and Yamaha & Kawa in MXGP. Thats what 4 or 5 years in a row,you can't blame that everytime on externel excuses...

This is how I see it too. Watson is really good, but Geerts has far more upside... If he can get it back together and be what he used to be, of course without the, dare I say, Chase like mistakes?

10/16/2025 10:36am Ben Watson is a good rider. But he is also 28, been at factory teams in mxgp and mx2 and has had plenty of opportunist to show who he is. Basically he wont magically be much better. Geerts on the other hand has shown a substantial different, much higher level in mx2 for years. He has shown only some flashes...

Some of the MX2 teams do not really value EMX250 results anymore with the under 21 rule and 250 2 strokes being allowed in the class. So no matter if you have an odd win here or there, some kids are simply stuck in that class if they don't fork up the money to go ride in MX2.
