He is UK based now , his team are having to crowdfund to get him to Swindon for the British GP, so i doubt they have budget for SA. The protest are for the most part organized and peaceful. However, there have been reports of small scale looting and vigilante groups wanting to oust undocumented foreigners. MXGP need not worry about that as these protests are Black on black issues and its highly unlikely that any of these groups would target any white folk coming for the MXGP. Per capita, your chances of being murdered are 7 times higher in South Africa than in the US. Maybe the bigger concern for race teams and spectators is kidnapping. 17,000 people a year are kidnapped in South Africa compared to a couple hundred a year in the US. Sure, US cities have bad neighborhoods, but to claim the crime rates are equal in the US and South Africa is ignorant and completely false.

The facility will handle the event. It will be a better event than most European ones and will set the standard for other away MXGP's. I say this, because the people that own the track are passionate. When you are at the facility, you will be safe. The problem is, the crime around the area and getting to the area. Johannesburg is a shithole and is not very safe. There are no go places and the teams attending will be well briefed on this. The locals attending also know this so all good. With that said, Tera Topia, the track and the hotels nearby is pretty secure. I'm taking a guess but I think all the teams will be staying at the lodges around Lanseria. What sort of turnout can be expected for a city like Johannesburg and a Country like RSA? Is the facility capable of handling a large scale event? And what about the safety of participants and the threat of violence and theft? The stories coming out of South Africa have not been good.

Just like Vialle who of course had a great deal with HRC but also wanted to go back to europe even tho he was pretty succesful in the US to say the least. And tbh I could see the same happening to Prado, he had an interview few months ago with Lewis and when he was asked about it, man, he misses his home GP and fans u could tell. Cant blame him if he goes back, somehow doesnt work out, he is not the Prado he used to be and he has more hate in the US than anything...

Not sure how Kemea can be blamed for the influence of Rinaldi in Europe. And to add to the defence, Hutten massively stepped up their game engine wise this year. I'm not an insider, but the results of the reisulis brothers are actually quite good. Maybe a stretch, but how about Nestaan taking over the MX2 team? It would leave KDW at one of the other teams in the KTM group, but which other structure would be able to handle this?
