This year the F1 in Zandvoort (Netherlands) and the MXGP in Arnhem was on the same weekend. I went to F1 on the Friday (sprint day) and the MXGP on Sunday. Perfect weekend!! I don’t know why that wasn’t promoted more because I didn’t realise the overlap until about 2 weeks before the weekend and I follow both sport religiously.

I'm sure the teams are going to be glad to have to do three separate trips to the Iberian Peninsula across three months. Portugal being TBA is an interesting one, i've spent a lot of time in the country and they have some beautiful tracks other than Agueda. Unfortunately, the other tracks basically have no spectator parking. Casais de Santo Quintino, not far from Lisbon, is one of the best tracks i've ever been to. However, the track is at the top of a small mountain and the entire crowd parks along the edge of a narrow winding road. Walking...

Loket is a great GP and nice region. Lommel is obviously something special with the sand. Arco is special having the mountains at the background and you are 20 minutes from lake garda, which if the weather is good is a great area. If Portugal is in Agueda then the combo of either Lissbon or porto as city trip and then a trip to the track (2 hour drive) is also nice And France will be nice with St Jean being a crowded GP

China 1 week after Trentino? That can't hold. Nice to see the last GP in Switzerland this year though.

Just released. 20 rounds, 4 fly-aways, 3 rounds in Italy. 11 rounds for EMX125 and EMX250, 6 for WMX with 2 fly-aways. Good to see Lommel there, was a big questionmark and I wonder where round 18 will be held.

Agree, Farres has been the best MX2 rider this year, and barring disaster, will be a deserving world champion.

And Farres has also imo, been the best mx2 rider anyways, especially as of late. Don’t forget, Sacha also smacked them around in thunder valley as well.

Vialle has been a revelation on the 450, was fast straight out of the box, then got injured and has been slowly building again. With his starts and being at home, I wouldn’t be shocked to see him batting for race wins. Only a week ago he kept Herlings honest all the way to the checkers. Farres was still a kid when he raced in the US, a lot can change in three years at that age. He’s developed into a very solid rider, looks like he’ll be coming in as world champion, and that factory Triumph is no joke...

Vialle on home soil, with a good start, will be tough to beat in 450cc category. Not only for Hymas...

I just picked up on this... He possibly has a torn muscle in his arm from the Ironman crash? If he's not 100%, take Beaumer for sure.

I sort of agree.... But this is a tough one. Do we think that Vialle and Farres have suddenly made huge steps forward and the US guys have not?

Jesus, with so many top riders injured, this could be anyone's race, maybe a team that has never won it before. My money would be on the French ( if the conens are einjured) and the yanks have a shot getting on the box for sure

Rumor. Levi Kitchen might be out for SMX and the MXdN. If that's the case, I assume Julien Beaumer will get the MX2 spot.

A rider will tough it out to race in his own back yard, relatively speaking, but to do 3 Long Hauls, when you are feeling the pain from other crashes, what would be the point really?

That would be pathetic and a bad look for Yamaha. Same as Lata not being allowed(?) to race the final three GP’s. You’re a factory rider, signed a contract and now the team decides to just not sign up?

These title chases are mirroring AMA; epic build up with some awesome racing, so much promise, but dropping off on the excitement factor right at the end. However that doesn’t take anything away from the deserving champions. The best man has won in all, so far. MX2 still to be decided, where nothing’s over until it’s done.
