9/4/2026 10:48am Yes, but with the monicker 'KTM Factory Juniors' they are supposed to be EMX level , not MX2. The Oliver thing is an aside, i think they used the budget for Max Werner who got injured early in 2025 to keep Oriol on Orange.

9/4/2026 10:47am i could understand them not retaining Doensen, but if they do keep him i would think having him run MX2 would be much better for his development then returning for a 3rd EMX250 season. And even if he would have a Garcia like championship people will still wonder ''can he do it at mx2-level''. Just look at how Zanocz season went

9/4/2026 10:47am I think i read that somewhere, but cant recall. Be interesting to see what happens with Oliver, if SS24 retain and run him.. didnt get chance to talk to Shaun at Duns, will hopefully get a chance at Blaxhall. I dont think Doensen is retained, which is a shame, but he hasnt made as much progress as i would have hoped.

9/4/2026 10:47am French publication DailyMX is saying that the Norman KTM Team is expected to take over KTMs official EMX125 and EMX250 programs next year. American Sawyer Gieck is linked to the team for a 125 ride.

9/4/2026 10:47am If you want a name for MX2 that is top championship right away yeah sure i cannot name him. But guys that can ride top 10 right away (at the tracks that suit them) i think many can do that. Valk, Braceras, Prugnieres, Garcia, Skovbjerg, Doensen have been top 10 MX2. A bunch of other EMX250 riders should be able to do that as well.

9/4/2026 10:46am If we check the top 20 of moto 1 in EMX250, I think half of them would be a great addition to the MX2 class. And we have riders like Braceras that are riding national championships because they can't find a proper MX2 ride (for whatever reason, i.e. inconsistency and injuries). + Mancini did for whatever reason not qualify for the races (while he had p1 in time practice in Sweden)

9/4/2026 10:46am What a sad indictment of the sport when it largely relies on wealthy fans spending their own money to fund ego teams.

9/4/2026 10:46am Would be nice to see them back. If only MXGP would find a way to keep wealthy people in the series.... Standing Construct, (H)SF, Schmicker, Diga, F&H, now Hutten .... That's at least 10 extra strong MX2 rides, just what we are lacking right now

9/4/2026 10:44am I did hear that Drew Stock is in for EMX250, he hasnt had a great year in EMX125, but he has won the RFX125 British Championship pretty handily this year and will making his UK MX2 debut at Blaxhall.

9/4/2026 10:44am Support the privateer teams. You have teams like YoungMotion, Osicka KTM and few others that need that travel support. Btw, Lata isn't riding? Seems like he is out at Gariboldi already

9/4/2026 10:44am While i don't agree i understand the reasons for Infront not spending their own cash and pay a bunch of privateers to go to Turkeye. But why can't they setup a privateer support program for MX2 and MXGP and find 2 brands to sponsor that? Give that partner some attention at every race during the broadcast, give a best privateer award powered by xyz award after every race with some broadcast time, etc. etc. Anyone ( @LewisPhillips or @ML512 maybe) have a clue what mxgp partners pay for all those billboards around the track? Is finding a partner for 50K...

9/4/2026 10:43am I've said it before and i will say it again. These races with 16 riders are the ones that completely ruin the reputation of the series, especially regarding Americans. It boggles my mind that Infront either doesn't understand that or understand it but are fine with it.

9/4/2026 10:43am They already tried that in 2013: during the oversea GP's (Qatar, Thailand,..) they raced a superfinal instead of a second race. The 20 best from both first races in MX1 and MX2 started together. MX2-riders deemed it too dangerous as MX1-riders were flying by (literally) on the big jumps during the first lap, teammanagers and sponsors protested as the leading MX2-riders barely got any screentime, and fans got only three races instead of four. At Qatar Desalle won the GP, but Cairoli won the superfinal so got to stand at the top step of the podium instead of Desalle. Glad...

9/4/2026 10:43am Agree. When you saw Gajser his first clips on the Yamaha, I would have never thought he would have the hardest time to adjust to a new bike. While Herlings his first clips you could see how hard he had to adapt. It's a shame that Coenen got injured, but in all fairness Herlings lost like 4-5 titles due to injuries as well

9/4/2026 10:43am Crazy how far off Gasjer and Febvre are this year. Next year could be a real snoozer if Herlings stays healthy.
