Its him and his dad and a mechanic working out of a camper, under the Goswell Honda banner, bikes look good, they seem to be doing OK with what they have, no idea if they are getting help from DT , but i do know that Brookes' engines are done by Ryan Thorpe, so maybe his are too. I will say that the 'big rigs' have gone from the MXGB pits, Lexa's truck hasnt been seen in a while, Absolute KTM are working out of vans and EZ-Ups, only Phoenix Tools Fantic have a big set up, along with SC...

i think there are 10 riders making their GP debut in MX2: Francisco Garcia Jake Cannon Max Ernecker Billy Askew Gyan Doensen Alve Callemo Sandro Sools Giovanni Meneghello Alessandro Traversini Iacopo Fabbri Cant remember the last time whe had so many debutants at a GP that is not the first of the year (and isnt a flyaway with a bunch of locals).

I spent time talking to his mechanic at the weekend, they have been chasing stuff for the last year and a bit with the Triumph, and have finally decided to move on, and i know he had a few injuries prior, which have taken him a while to get over, and i think almost made him quit. And your last sentence, i dont disagree, he isnt a youngster any more in EMX/MX2 terms, but seeing him ride , he is going well here, and has shown speed in EMX too, i dont think we are pinning hopes on him being...

His inconsistency has been down to bike failures/problems. He switched to Honda this weekend and qualified on pole, had a good first race and crashed out of race 2 rerun when in 5th . Expect him to be better on the Honda.

There is one more Dutch Masters race in July. But yes, I think it is a good thing he keeps racing, will definitely give him an edge for next year. Cool to see the EMX guys mixing up

Gabriel SS24 will be in France with Oriol Oliver anyway, and there is a month break for the British Championship, and i think the Dutch series is now done, he has to race somewhere. Added to Askew, Brookes ( assuming he wasnt injured in his off at Landrake) and a couple of others, it should be a decent entry .

It was a sketchy thing to be doing on a 250, high risk, low reward. I was with the guys from the UK end of the team at Lyng for a while and they were stoked to have him on board.

Lets hope there is a replacement for Valk in MX2, would be nice to have 40 riders at the gate. Also kind of weird to see that its a GP in France, no EMX250, 40 guys in MX2 on the list but no French wildcards?

That was a hard hit... Mxgp comfirms in Instagram He injured his leg and saw a post of Valk sister huggin his brother at the hospital. What a shame, he is a fast Rider... Hope he get well soon.

That's because he is usually (except for two seasons) coming into the season not being at 100% or straight up injured. This year he has been healthy though. We won't see a much better version of him than what we have seen at round 1 or at Trentino where he had his crazy charge. He's already better than what we have seen from him the past 3-4 years imo.

Decent entry lists! I see that Gyan Doensen will make his GP debut. Same goes for Garcia and Cannon with their BUD racing Kawi's. Ernecker and Askew will also make their debut. Guadagnini will be out with a broken collarbone for the most of the season Cas Valk latest rumours are that he is out with a broken femur. His crash circulates on Instagram and Facebook. That was a nasty hit in Markelo.. shame because I really would have loved to see him do well on the KTM

Id love to see him join the British. Its getting rather stacked with foreign talent which is a good thing! The series is definitely trending the right way. Now we just need a round back at Desertmartin next year & were sweet!
